Do Monster Cards Do Anything Yet?

I know once Monsterbook is out, they do stuff, but I've found three training in Magatia so far and want to know if anything happens on the fifth. (I heard you get 1.25% Exp on that mob?)

They apparently do stuff...heard claims of 2x for a hour and such.

I got a +1 speed when I looted my first one. :/
I was more concerned about the 1.25% on the mob when you get all five. (I think I saw Isaac say something like that)

Yesterday, I looted my first one. When I got one, I get like +6% Lightning Resistance. Isn't it obvious? I thought only 5 of the same cards you get from the same monster can activate your buff.

5 of the same cards activate the good buff.

When you loot your first card of any monster over level 30 thne itll give you a little useless buff.


From what I can tell anyway.

If you collect 5 of the same card, you get a bonus of 15% exp for one hr, not 25% and DEFINITELY NOT 2x..

It also seems that only the Sahel Desert and Magatia mobs are dropping monster cards and no other monster is in GMS.

what im wondering is, does it count in your monster book? i mean, when monster book is released, will we already have the cards we earned now?

I figured if we go the bonus for five cards, then it would. :o

It's pretty obvious to me that the game is keeping track of which cards you picked up and how many (otherwise you couldn't get the consecutive buffs), so I say yes: Whenever they bother putting the actual Book into the game, people should already find those Magatia cards in their collections.

I've found six cards so far. Turns out I didn't get the speed boost if I had a potion. xD
