And why are the equips pink? Or has he just scrolled them ALREADY?

The equips are pink because of the bonus stats (12 STR, 12 DEX, 24 INT, 16 something and 25 something else). Equipment obtained post-Unlimited can get a lot of these. There's also the Flame of Reincarnation (?) that can add these bonus stats to equipment obtained pre-Unlimited (I think?).
