Yesh, seems they all died here.
I know they don't loose Exp.. but still.

What do you mean by die?
If you mean they die for no apparent reason, it's because they don't want to spend the money for town scrolls.
If you mean quit, some of them converted to pirate.

in deme, there's like 2 off-island beginners. 1 quit. other one is me! it seems, you have to pay to level past level 70, and it'll seem useless to some.
beginners weren't like always liked, either. they simply are pointless, tbh.
and everyone in maple just like wants to get #1 of their job, or be strong and godly, i think part of it might be of 4th job; beginners just died after it came out, sorta.

Beginners died because people are learning to move on and get common sense.
There really is no point to being a Beginner.
Sure, they're fun to some people, but there's no purpose for them.
You can't enjoy the game to the fullest when you have no Skills.
It's a challenge, yes, but it's not a challenge that the average person wants.
Also, I have a feeling that most of the Beginner population has just quit MapleStory completely.
The game has lost its fun that it used to have.

There's never been many beginners on SP to start with.

Perma-beginners are the stupidest goddamn things I've ever heard of. IMHO.
Maplestory is a waste of time, but Beginners go beyond that.

We obviously don't need your input here then if you don't even care.

Didn't sound like my post.
And you exaggerate far too much.

And you exaggerate far too much. What? He basically said beginners were pointless and you told him to gtfo because his identical input "wasn't needed"..
And to give my own input, beginners lost my respect after NubBeginner lost his #1 spot to the mass bandwagon of leeching and hacking beginners. People like Precisly had ruined the "uniqueness" of being a beginner by taking the class and basically putting it to a shame.
All that was really left to d(ick around with were Islanders, and ever since MTS was released, there's no point left in one.

I don't talk of classes in terms of "suckage."
Even a BW Paladin can train to 200, SOLOING the whole way if necessary. A Beginner cannot do this. To the best of my knowledge, high lvl beginners cannot advance to higher lvls except by leeching. This is frowned on by a lot of people, but if your class CANNOT level except by leeching, maybe it was meant to die. It takes a lot of dedication to play a Beginner but if you can't go all the way, is there even any point?

I disagree with that.
I personally find having no skills more fun, as there's more skill in training without them. But then again I tend to play games in a way that wasn't intended...

I disagree with that as well. The only difference between the BW Paladin and the Beginner is that the Beginner would be far more time consuming. This doesn't, however, make it impossible.
Also, not everyone plays to get to the highest possible level. Level 70 is a pretty good target for a Beginner; 120 even more so.

Yep. Your exp/hr would be horrid(.25% on 4x, anyone? :X ), but it is possible. Heck, a level 200 islander would be possible for that matter.

I think you're getting carried away. Over 2 billion experience on monsters that give like 20 exp apiece? At 19x, every level is like that. Islander lvl 200 is literally not possible. There is a life-span to every game. Some day, years from now, Maple will be shut down. You can't make a lvl 200 islander with that in mind.
A regular lvl 200 beginner is somewhat feasible if he is continually leeched by a bishop. Such leeching counts as your own effort for both characters if YOU YOURSELF made the bishop; though the Bishop would get to 200 way before the beginner would.
I am in arguably the best guild in Khaini so I've talked to a lot of very high lvl legits. Leeching your own character by your own character is not frowned on by anybody to the best of my knowledge. So, I think that is the true legit way for a beginner to get to 200.

So you know, there are a good number of people that look down on people who leech their levels. To me, playing Maplestory is about having fun and if you have fun by funding high level mages and not doing a pomegranate to get to 4th job, then by all means, do it.
But there are people out there who follow the tradition of TRAIN YOUR OWN DAMN CHAR.
As for what the topic was intended...
It takes around 15 years to get a job in real life.
In Maplestory it takes about 30 mins.
If your jobless in real life, you might as well get one on your online game.

That is so true :O
These games ARE for fun, not being the best at it (it's been proven already )
Nobody said WHAT you could and couldn't do. You could train your heart out and spend all of your time doing so. Or you could just kick back, and see which way this game takes you. YOUR CHOICE!
As for the beginners, they are overpowered by everybody else. It sucks for them because they only have what they get then and there. I feel sad for all of the beginners slaughtered mercilessly for no reason; just for being beginners.
But hey, think what you think. And I'll think what I think. Sounds good, don't it?

TurtleHeroes =/= knowing everybody's opinion.
A number of beginners don't like leeching and wish it had never been created. You don't see that here because we have no beginner community here. It's pretty much Hazzy, myself, and another random person or two. Hazzy and me are both islanders as well. For whatever reason, they're still over at SW. :/ Meh. There just seems to be a lot more drama there anyways.
I still hate MTS for working on island and still choose not to use it on my islander. Still doesn't mean anything is going to change.
Anyways, mathematically (sp?), it is possible to hit level 200 on an islander. <_< It is probably possible to hit level 200 on a perma beginner without leeching as well. We got a level 200 jobbed char in less than 3 years. A level 200 perma beginner, that wasn't leeched, could probably be done in 5 if anyone was really that dedicated.

I'm not here much as I don't play GMS anymore and I play EMS - I spend most of my forum time on an EMS forum.
On EMS I'm the #1 Islander (level 36) and #9 legit Beginner (level 52).
Answering to NoJob, I worked out it'd take 1.065 millenia (1,065 years) to get a Beginner from 1-200 on Maple Island at 10k exp/day. That means to do that in a possible lifetime you'd have to be getting 106,500 exp/day from the day you were born until you were 100.
On GMS that's around 5-6 hours of Maple per day, which is far more than I'm prepared to do. On EMS it's at least 11-12 hours of Maple a day.
I doubt you could solo train a Beginner to level 200 in 5 years, possibly 10 - purely for the same reason as above. I don't know what exp you can get per day at level 80 on a Beginner, but I can only assume you'd need to be doing over 1,500,000 exp a day in order to reach that goal.
