Assuming an old nexon japan CEO interview still holds true, it has some storyline ties with Jipang as well.

JMS could be re-shaping their exclusives into a masteria-esque project.


Plus, the beam saber girl looks kick ass.

Wow.. this place reminds me of a bombed japan (no offense or anything) and those robot mobs look ownage. I reckon this place is far stronger than Kaede.

Heh. MapleStory-wise, that's not true. GMS has better equips and items. JMS may have more content, but GMS has the power (apples) to overcome anything. In fact, some of us are speculating that GMS may be the first version to actually be able to beat Pink Been, due to the apples. I don't believe there has been a successful legit Pink Been run, yet.

From what I gathered....

Basically Neo Tokyo is built in the future machine war era, encapsulating the Terminator/Skynet theme within.

It will be accessed through some time warp thingie which sends Maplers to this future escapade.

Basically it's rather clear that the machines and humans are at war, which accounts for the destruction.

The new maps appear to feature 4 areas:

- Year 2100 Odaiba
It will be the location of the final battle between humans and machines, destroying almost the entire area. It's now a place for storing equipment, and used as a fort for defense purposes.

- Year 2095 Sub Urban Area
This redeveloped area is established prior to the war. With the technical enhancements brought on by the rise of machines, this area lays a significance towards what Tokyo has become

- Year 2102 Akihabara
Destroyed during the war, this once popular shopping area is now lurking with destroyed machine parts and holds the base for opposition forces. (Erps I can't understand the full thing; pardon me)

- Year 2102 The Skies
Rah.

It seems like the entire theme for Neo Tokyo is just robots and the anti-machine forces. We - the players - are caught in the struggle between the 2 parties.

Time temple wouldn't do squat, since the thing that drops your fist 20 spawns very infrequently and has an extremely low drop rate for anything.

I'll try getting some info from the patch. Other versions might expand their WT areas soon.
