In recent years, Goldenrod city has been through some tough times but very soon, the mayor of Goldenrod is set to open a brand new stadium and host a grand tournament. This contest is all about encouraging tourism and helping to rebuild Johtos shattered and dangerous reputation. The winner gets to choose between an all expenses paid trip to the Orange islands or a mysterious, one of a kind Dark matter pokeball!
For reference, the new stadium is located south west of the Magnet train station.
Pokemon trainers from all over the globe are invited to participate but there can only be one champion!
Rules
Trainers enter with a team of 3 pokemon (any region allowed but no legendaries or super rare ones)
Matches are setup in brackets and as single eliminations.
During a battle you may make your posts as short or as detailed as you would like.
All fights take place on grass fields
Teams are fully healed after every battle.
You can launch as many attacks as you want but the owner of the defending pokemon decides if an attack move makes contact or not. (altough it is assumed that attacks will hit most of the time)
If there are any disagreements, they will be decided by referees. (controlled by me)
Battle rules loosely follow the logic from the Game boy games. (EV's are ignored)
Moves that raise or lower evasion/accuracy are banned.
Moves with countdowns or selfdestruct type moves are banned.
Only 1 match will be held at a time. The other participants may still talk or follow sidestories as long as they do not intefere with the current match.
When it is your turn to battle, you will have about 48 real life hours to show up on the field or risk disqualification. (the countdown can start as early as the finishing post in a previous match) In which case, the opponent gets a free win and advances. Once a match starts, there is (almost) no time limit to that match. If one of the trainers stops taking actions long enough though, (after about 48 hours) they may still be disqualified.
One exception is the time limit on the start of the 1st match, which is about one week from the offical opening of the main thread. (because opponents will not be paired up until then)
Whew, I think that is everything!
How to sign up:

If you lose a match or are disqualified, try not to be a sore loser. This is a friendly competition after all!
