So just how far have you gone to prepare for the release of Pirates?

I know a lot of you are as excited as I am. I've done a lot to prepare for the release, even if it's next month, or next year. I'm even taking a break from Maple until then so it's like a fresh new experience.

So far what I've done is:
Quit my secondary and sold the items. Leaving myself with around 800mil in funds.
Gathered up enough Exchange Quest to get to level 20.
Trained a level 10 Beginner with perfect Infighter stats.
MTSing on my Pirate account to save NX for HP washing.
Collecting Leafre ETC on my 14x Marksman for cheap seeds for my Pirate.
Obtained a 2/2/1/1 Spiegelmann Necklace for my Pirate, along with a Brown Bandana. (Dexless FTW.)
In the process of looking for a 25+Dex Sauna/Bathrobe.

That's about everything I've done so far. I may be jumping the gun a little, but Pirates are a brand new game, and I needed something like this.

Wow, you've done quite a bit. All I've done is train my beginner to level 10. I saved my AP since I don't know which Pirate I'm going to make. I'm most likely going to make a Gunslinger though. It'll be my secondary character so I don't intend on putting a lot of funds into it.

I made an Infighter AND a Gunslinger on my Pirate account, just so I wouldn't have to toy with the idea of which I want more.

I'm definitely leaning towards Infighter the most though. <3 Melee Classes.

Wow. You are quite prepared. I haven't even thought about it, nor do I really understand much about this class. It looks very exciting. I have gone about as far as to reserve some names. Other than that, I'm completely loss when it comes to this class =(

Ontopic, I'm not sure where I want to make my pirate. Part of me wants to make him in Yellonde, he'd be unfunded, and it would be kewl. xP I could try and make this guy totally NX dependent.
Then again, Gunslingers are suppose to have horrible damage until 4th job, so stocking up on money to buy Dex Gear sounds like a nice idea.

Easy way to think of it, Infighters are like warriors, while Gunslingers are like Archers as both are ranged. xP

Most people will be making an Infighter because they do high damage and get two party skills in 4th job. Gunslingers don't have any party skills and their damage is rather low, despite their incredible speed.

I already made my character(a future gunslinger), and started gathering equips(WG's, capes, etc.). I have quite a number of items for the orbis exchange quest to quickly level, but i'm having trouble gathering enough mesos to build up a solid fund...

The only thing you seem to be missing is INT equips to get more mp for hp washing xP

As for myself? Im a loyal archer and I will always be so there'll be no pirates for me. Chances are, some friends of mine will probably make one and I'll just try theirs or something, lol.

Just..WOW! I'm impressed. And I thought I was prepared. Haha. Lets see, here are some of the things I've done to prepare.

-Made the character with perfect dexless infighter stats. Currently lvl 10 at 99.9x%. (currently debating whether i should go over 10...)
-Got horrible green hair (stupid EXP and amoria quest. Worst combo ever) and got the face and eye color i wanted.
- I've got some orbis trade items enough to get me to level 20.
- I've purchased 4 atk PAC with str, 22 dex sauna, 12 dex earrings, and a temporary 10 atk wg.
- I prepared my NX look for when i advance and actively play
- I'm preparing screenshots and recordings for the day that i make my very own pirate video.
-i prepared a skill build for 1st and 2nd job, and im currently in the working of 3rd(that 40 sp is alot....) and 4th
-more random calculations which allow me to be able to wear the level 90 knuckle until level 120. (only because the lvl 90 is so freakin sexy)
-saving mesos for future scrolls, 14/15atk scg, HT pendant bundle (ive also made plans to mass scroll lvl 60 pirate shoes.)

There's so much to do, and i feel that there isn't much time left

I actually still haven't sold out all my mage equips, so i should do so soon!

Oh and...I always wanted to prepare a little guild for the pirate noobs before the class actually came out to get together. That way we can chat, discuss, make friends, and who knows...when pirate class comes out, we can all explore and advance, and terrorize the maple world with our "CREW"!!! ARGH!!:mad:

Not bad. I haven't even thought about a Horntail bundle. Hopefully by the time my Infighter is 120 they'll be cheap as hell.

Yeah seriously, the SCG level limit is ass. I came across a cheap 13 atk scg (I really wanted a 14) but i had already spent the mesos on that temp 10atk wg T_T

And hopefully by the time I hit 120, my current guild will be able to HT. Free pendant ftw XD

I'm getting him to 29, and leech training him to 120. I get to miss out on the flood of people into low level areas !

Eh, I'm not too keen on going past level 10 for one reason:

HP.

Beginners get a lot less HP per level up, and you never know how much you'll be missing from a Pirate's natural HP increase. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Not only that, but I'm assuming that it could(?) affect HP washing.

I Haven't even started yet...., but that's due to the fact that I haven't been in the US since June 1st, but when I get back August 7th (8th?) I'll start preparing, already saving money for NX/iTCG (set 1/2) to fund myself and i'll start getting eq from my NL, by the way which is better Showa EQ or Orbis EQ?

Edit : Oh and when I get back, moving my NL to Kradia (hopefully Yellonde will be out) and starting my Inf (abbreviations ftw?) there . Only problem is I gotta get re-married to apple fund myself. Oh and im not gonna go over 10.
