[Glitch] Talking in Numbers?

Today, I was questing with my friend at Mountain Slopes, when suddenly everything I said in 'All' chat that was more than 3 words in length would appear as a 3-5 digit number instead of what I typed in. Party, Buddy, Guild, and Spouse chat worked fine.

For example, I would type "Where are you?" but see my character say something like "37721" instead. This didn't happen only to me, it also happened to my friend. Everything she said that was more than 2 words would appear as a number and I had no idea what she was saying to me.

We decided to just talk in Party/Spouse for the time being and wrapped up and headed to Vic to do a jump quest. Midway through the jump quest, however, we could talk fine again. Meanwhile, I asked another friend to try saying stuff in 'All' but he claimed everything came out fine.

I'm just wondering if something like this has happened to any of you. It's entirely unbelievable and I don't know what caused it nor do I believe I can replicate it but it happened.

I would've recorded a video of it but the thought didn't occur to me at that time.

Whao that's weird o_O never happened to me before, nor have I ever heard about it.

Edit: wrong thread. WEird indeed. Never seen it happen. Closest Ive gotten to that is my char walking in one direction without me holding onto a key but I think that's something with my laptop keyboard, not something wrong with ms.

Lol vin.. Apparently this glitch also happened to 2 of my guildie earlier today..
But strangely it never happened to me...

This just happened to me not even 15 minutes ago in Amoria PQ.

Yeah, this happened to me earlier. Not on a laptop either. It's affecting my buddies too. What a weird, random glitch. o-o

Number lock on a laptop perhaps?

It affected the person above you and he wasn't even playing on a laptop ^

No, that was something wrong with MS. It happened to me more than once and I was on a desktop and I made sure nothing was keeping the key down. It was actually really frightening cause I was about 2% from leveling and I was at squids. I was basically holding onto the opposite arrow key while trying to quit game to keep myself from dying D:

If you accidentally activate that one it's indeed scary because you won't automatically guess the way to turn it off. Press the arrow key in the direction you're walking and it automatically cancels.

The way I found to "fix" it is to tap the direction Im walking in again and it'll stop. That being said, I'd laugh if I walked into zakum like that some time x_X

This happened to me today.
My friend went like "OMG GUYS COME TO CH7", and I go there and this glitch starts occuring.
Coding bug, maybe?

EDIT:
it actually occured in certain channels. For example, the glitch occured in Channel 7, while in Ch11 everything was okay...

Funny, it happened to me on ch 11 while SE hunting. My char would sink in water slowly (which is what happens when you hold the up button while swimming down) and... it happened multiple times too, lol.

I dont think its channel dependent but rather completely random (meaning perhaps it not happening to you on ch 11 was fluke/luck, lols).

Happened to me. Doesnt do that in guild chat thankfully.

It happens to everyone in the fm I'm in. Not sure about anywhere else due to being too lazy to leave.
EDIT: cced and it went away. After going back to same ch it's still there.
