Has anyone noticed mineral and jewel ores no longer drop?

I played on the last tespia run and realised on the last day of tespia, I only received 2 dark crystal ores but none of the other ores my whole time playing. My friend laughed at me when I told him but he bought out a guy's shop of ores the other day before the patch. Now, the day after the patch, the place I usually train at has not dropped a single adamantium ore or amethyst ore. I got only 4 strength ores. I wonder if this is the change in maker skill drops nexon was talking about?

yeah, I think that must be the "useless" maker items. O.O Doesn't nexon know that people need jewles to add stats in maker and plates to forge some stuff in maker, and that some quests require jewles and plates (i.e. ht)? gg nexon

All ores are needed for quests. Alcaster's quest requires a Star Rock, that is made from one of every type of refined jewel. Other, less essential quests, require a Moon Rock, made from one of every type of plate.
I can't see any possible reason to stop ores from dropping now (but I can confirm that, if they do drop, the rate has been decreased a lot).

If you didn't read the Extractions, There are 3 new items called Miner Pouch and other 2 pouchs. When you use 1 of those pouch you get a random jewel,mineral,Crystal Ore.

Star Rock isn't exactly difficult to acquire. The Lv50 Sabitrama jump quest gives it as a reward, and apparently drops from Chief Grays in Omega, lol

After Chaos mobs don't drop ores either, you have to mine them with the miner sub-job.

Clearly we've all done it wrong by maxing Soul Arrow.
Now that I think about it I haven't seen ores at all either. If they don't come back before Chaos profession update, then how long until we /get/ Chaos then. I doubt the community's gonna go "nerp fine without ores for 2-3 months kthnx nexon". >>

Were they removed as rewards from redoing jump quests as well?
