Unscheduled Server Maintenance - 11.23.10

After the game update last night we found that many of you were experiencing unstable service, disconnecting randomly. We also found that the Gold Richie event could not be played, giving you this error message upon acceptance of the quest:

To remedy these issues, we are having an unscheduled maintenance on November 23rd. During this maintenance all servers will be unavailable for 5 hours.

We sincerely apologize for this disruption in our service.

They didn' "fix" it, they "improved" it. Of course there are still some incompatibility issues.

...I like how Maple and WoW are both having maintenance currently scheduled to end at the exact same time. Emphasis on currently.

Oh man, glad they're going to try fixing the random crashing that's been going on as well as the Ritchie Quest bug. The only two things bothering me today.

Actually, I got one of those random crashes just a minute ago, and I guess now i know not to bother logging back in since there's going to be maintenance.

It's a shame I can't test the game until tomorrow. All I have to do is go to Nibelung and try to kill it and then see what happens after the fight.

Sadly from what I've been reading there are plenty of problems still not addressed and even then I've heard now the disconnects are now more sporadic than ever.

I have a nasty feeling they totally botched this update and only attempted to recompile the game using an updated Software Development Kit. If so... the engine still is flawed and they probably only made the compatibility worse.

Maplers, we appoligize for making XP work like Vista and 7 instead of actualy resolving issues..... /scarscasm

I hope there aren't any of these tomorrow... that's when I can finally play for a bit.

Anyways, anyone that has actually played maple for a decent amount of time should have seen a maintenance to fix the issue coming from a mile away. Hope they can solve the issues on this maintenance. *crosses fingers* =O lol.

I don't even understand why any of you are playing right now. This is honestly the best possible time for them to mess around because there's no real reason for anyone to want to sign on. Anything you can do right now you can do more efficiently in two weeks; why waste effort? Sure that can be said most of the time but we have a tangible date of change instead of an assumed one, in this case.

I actually REALLY agree with this. But that won't stop players from playing(and me) but I agree with this is the best time for them to screw around right now before Big Bang.

I semi agree with you, there isn't really a reason to log on or anything. Personally i still have a mush shop and i'm saving mesos for the big bang update in case something good comes up. I still don't mind logging on for the occasional boss or two. Otherwise, casually playing till the big update =X.

The only reason I log on before Big Bang is to just level up my newbies a bit (Lv.1~20) and also to gain the last 20% my Aran needs to level. (Got 10% today)

Then I usually take advantage of events if possible to make an insane profit since without events I'd be poor forever.

So just recent they saw random disconnections? Idiots. How long til Horntail is fixed? another 3 months?
