Wow, there is a nice new dc hack around.

You dc every time you complete a quest. Just happened 3 times in a row to me. Dont complete any quests, you will get dc'd.

Looks like this quote is happening as of now.


News running at downtown: A bunch of mad hackers that got banned recently got mad. Now they're gonna massively attack Nexon by releasing public hacks like map crash just to annoy other players and ultimately Nexon. Even the admins of hacking websites are kinda pissed at this. But you can't create hacks without expecting malice.

How would it be a hack if you dc when finishing a quest? Sounds more like a bug to me. I had to redo the Ulu city quests because they are glitched and reset themselves when I had finished them. I dced while finishing each one of them, but I figured that to be because of a glitch. If it infact is hackers doing this, its pretty dang serious.

There's people on Nexon's forum saying the same thing about dcing when you complete a quest. I got the exp/meso rewards and the quest is completed but Maple goes black and just shuts down. I hope it is just a glitch.

I saw a SS of someone saying Spear Boost = dc everyone, as well as Genesis dc bishops. I dont know how it is happening but it certainly is happening.

Yeah i got dc/ed, actually maple crashed with some error, i think it was can't reach files, but i'm not sure, this morning 2-3 times in a row.

I'm getting dcd on my fire wiz aswel when using magic claw on stuff. Going around dcing people with spear booster is evil, but funny as hell.

No point in me playing right now, all I am doing is completeing quests and selling stuff in the FM...and I cant do those activities.

Using chain lightning caused instant crash.
For the first time, Etracer actually came up.

None of my skills are hurting me on NL or Hero.

If your a dualblader and use mirrored target, everyone around you will DC. Second if you use thorns it will show up to others as if you leveld up a reverse item. o_O
And maple warrior looks like job advancement to others. wtp is going on?

anyways, from what i've experienced...

Spearman's Pole Arm Booster - Monster Card pick-up golden book thingy effect for other player's screen; can cause DCs
Spearman's Hyper Body - Reverse/Timeless equipment level up effect for other player's screen
Spearman's Iron Will - no effect; will cause DC for other player's screen
DK's Dragon Roar - causes user to DC
DrK's Rush - may have some issue, I DC'd using it on Anego & now my DrK is stuck at "Near the Hideout" & before anyone assumes someone might have DC haxed me, it's not. I got "Error Code 38 (Reached end of file)" followed by eTracer popping up.

Magician's Magic Guard - Quest complete character effect for other player's screens
Wizard's Slow - some effect I don't know of, looks like a skill hit or part of Dawn Warrior's Soul summon or something for other player's screens

Blade Master's Thorns - Reverse/Timeless equiment level up effect on the user seen on other player's screens

Many skills will have no animation when viewed by other players.

Whoa, when did this start happening... o.o I would assume when I was sleeping since I didn't get the d/c issue when I was trying to make stews for a friend up until midnight... :v

Don't understand why hackers have to get so mad when they are finally banned for hacking - they should always expect that eventually, they will get caught... :v

Doesn't sound like a hack, or a bunch of hacks.
It's more likely someone at Nexon installed a file from another version (BB?) on the live servers, causing mayhem with skill and quest id's.

Game is up, SC is finished, check to see if everything is fixed. I'm off to bed.

The only one I could easily check was Genesis, and it doesn't DC anymore, so I am guessing whatever file was messed up has been restored, and everything will work right. Or as right as it did before, anyway.

I don't know about you guys, but those bugs are actually kinda cool (the animations).
