Due to recent events or even future events, I would like to ask of you not to spread fear, uncertainty and doubt. Please understand we try to do everything in our power to resolve issues with the least amount of impact on our players and the game. So please do not throw around "roll back" so casually. Roll backs are serious and never considered as part of fixing plan unless absolutely necessary.

With that said, if there is information that will affect the community or the game, we will let you know if we can. Thank you.

Wonder how they'll fix it, though.

If they actually had come out and let us know in the past, I would believe this.

Oh really? Well I would love to know another way of fixing this.

Inb4let them keep the mesos.

Same thing was said last time, yet there was a roll back. -Hime- doesn't know what the programmers/others working in this issue are doing to solve this.

The only thing I can come up with if there's no rollback would be to just delete all the huge meso transactions (1b+ perhaps) from accounts, Duey, and also delete any consecutive transactions of smaller amounts.

...and everyone would have no items and mesoes while hackers have godly items.

And the NX:meso ratio skyrockets to the point where the only way to get tons of money is to get NX.

It's a conspiracy!

Yup, pretty much. Biggrin

srsly, are we going to bother listening to -Hime-? If the rollback happens, it happens. Who cares. We then proceed to Nexon giving us 2x exp/drop events, and/or 5k-10k+ maple points as compensation (as usual).

I believe rollback is the only feasible solution right now.

If they'd shut down the servers 24 hours ago or so, when Windia's smegas started to scream "meso duping", they *might* have been able to surgically undo just the transactions involving duped meso.
But now, after the money has changed hands so many times, the items sold and resold and mts'ed and dueyed and muled... no chance of catching any of the actual hackers, just hurting a lot of innocent people.

Nobody likes a rollback, but at least it returns the game to a consistent state, and makes sure the hackers keep none of their illicit gains. Some 2x and maple points should pacify most of the population.

Nexon's probably thinking on how to get the benefit out of this exploit. They'll probably delete all the mesos, then release those meso sacks in the Cash Shop for NX...

One question though, were those constant rollbacks from last time intentional by them or were they caused by people making the servers crash for a rollback?

With the constant trend of exploits and such, it almost seems intentional.

dude shut the f'uck up your sh't jokes are stale.

On topic:

When the 2nd mesos exploit regarding leafre npc they didn't do a roll back they just dealt with the ones that were hell banned. This hack been out for a week and was public on Monday, so its basically the same as the leafre one. A roll back wont happen, the first time around it was much worst. Also cant nexon do a rollback on certain individuals?

Hate to remind you, but the last time there was a rollback, Nexon did exactly what Kubi said. They deleted all the "dirty" mesos and then had those Rare, Epic, and Unique Meso Sacks in the CS.
