Visitor Armor -- How should I upgrade it?
#1
So, I'm doing the Visitor Event Quests in JapanMS. I'm guessing we're on Stage 2, considering this is week #2 of its implementation (I have no clue, honestly). I just completed the part where you had to sneak past the aliens and do that weird ass mini-jump quest thing for a crystal or whatever. I got my Bing Armor and I currently have 881 medals from talking to the researchers in the one lab.

How should I go about buying/using the cores on the armor to get the STR armor? And I also need about 11 extra DEX to wear my knuckle with that. What should I do?

Also, how do I make it permanent? I heard I need a specific item, but how do I obtain that item?

Making it perma is in Stage 4. And extremely tedious.

You only need 1 item on to hit aliens for your quests so I wouldn't worry about being able to wear your knuckle with a full set. And for the lvl 60 and 120 PQ you can take off the suit inside, though you do get hit for cold like dmg.

Alot of people I knew used INT and made it their free Int gear to wash. I just went for STR cause I thought it looked nice.

Hmm lets see.
Upgrading armour: You need to scroll it with the cells evenly to begin with (until they all are 12+ if I remeber it correctly). 1 cell on each piece before you put a second on any of them. Scroll the suit with DEX first if you do not care about the look. The suit will take on the appearance of the atribute that it has the most of, it ill become a visitor piece when it is 10+ since you are lvl 120+. You need a full visitor suit (meaning 10+ on all equips) to be able to enter the level 60 and 120 PQs.

Making it permanent: During stage 4 there will be means to get crystanol molecules from repeatable quests. You will get less than 10 per quest chain but you can repeat it instantly. You will need 1000 molecules to make 1 piece permanent. Clearly not worth it in any way. You cannot potential them, and even if you could, they would get poor stats because they are level 0.

Oh. lol

How do you make it STR? Do you just apply one core to each item?

Edit : Oh! Thanks, Carrion!

I'm feeling like we are all from the alpha timeline you'll eventually make dissapear. Feels incredibly awesome.

Oh, word of advice: if you're not gonna make all pieces permanent, then I highly recommend dropping the suit and re-obtain it once you have all the STR cores needed to upgrade the suits fully, to let it last as long as possible.

If you have any sort of potential at all on your equips, the Visitor armor is worthless. Just upgrade it however you want until they transform. The first thing I did after GMS patched to v0.90 was toss my Visitor armor.

Local militias can range greatly in training and equipment, while some are little more than unarmoured peasants with weapons, others are well trained, semi professional militias, armed with quality pikes and plate armour.

Is it true you still need the Visitor suit to do the 120+ PQ after the event ends? If not I'm just gonna lol scroll it Tongue

No. CUbe damage and the req to wear it to enter gets removed after event. No gurantee you will get permanent PQ though.

This. ThaiMS did not get the PQ permanent, as far as we know. You shouldn't assume you will get it permanent.

One of the PQs for the PQ quest is the Hob King PQ and some of the NPCs in Stage 2 has English names (amelie88 or something) so the patch was translated from the GMS version. JMS also has outrageously expensive miracle cubes so Nexon Japan would want to release more lev. 127 weapons/acc.s.

I saw on Basil that the cap for required number of upgrades to gain visitor status is 12 (level/10 up to level 120). Is the cap 10? Can you scroll one equip after you get them to visitor status?

I'm not planning to cube anything w/ these outrageous prices (costs $1.82/cube or $18.29/11 cubes) so I'm getting a +40 dex equip if the cap is 10 and I spend everything past 10 on one equip.

For people that are lvls 120 or higher you need 10 upgrades per equip to change it into a visitor set. The max for hat is 23 upgrades, overall 35, gloves 17, and shoes 17. I'm not quite sure if you guys got the cap limit for upgrades like us because there was a server check that added upgrade limits. I happen to have a shoe with 25 upgrades on it before they decided to add upgrade limits. If you want to be sure then as soon as you have a +12 set (the max required so you can upgrade any piece as many times as you want separately) keep getting upgrade cells and throw them all into one piece so that even if they decide to put upgrade limits later on you'll already have all your slots in so you can just throw every stat you want into it. Note, if I did it this way then I would've had myself a +35 shoe (even though I missed a 1-2 days) which isn't too bad I guess.

You mean +10? :f6:

We have a glitched fame quest where the quest won't complete so we get max. 128 coins a day. I'll find out in ten days if I can scroll >17 times.

I hate the ugly orange hue of the dex suit though; should I scroll str first? (I'll prolly scroll str 8 times cept for shoes)

10 cells to make it turn from bing to visitor suit. 12 cells on every piece of equip evenly before you can focus your cells on 1 single piece.
It will end up looking like the stat you have the most of.

Hm...

If the event begins in one week from Stage 2:

841 medals max from initial quest
129 medals max per day from daily quests x 7
---------------------------------------
1744 medals?

Not enough to make a full visitor suit in time...Frown

I'll str scroll everything but the shoes. Can't really see the shoes anyway Rolleyes

I found this message randomly appearing in OSSS: "装備1個だけを集中して強化するには、全装備を合計15回強化してからできるんだ" It's one of six different messages that appear so I must have missed it. It read "In order to focus your upgrades on a single equipment, you can do so after upgrading all equipments a total of 15 times." I upgraded the suit 29 times total yet I still can't upgrade one equipment twice more than others. The upgrades are also 18/30/12/12 so you can't even upgrade 15 times each if that's what he meant. Any ideas?

Also I got a visitor equip w/ 8 upgrades @ level 16x :f6:

^^ You can use Uwana Cells (the orange one that adds an extra slot) and you can add up to 5 on each item.

JMS must have changed the numbers. In GMS, characters above level 120 received 1260 medals right off the bat, 60x3 medals for the dailies, and 12 medals for faming and doing the PQ. It cost 50 medals per cell and it took 10 upgrades to reach the suit level.

I guess they nerfed them slightly.
