Regarding Negative Yellonde Threads
#1
I've hesitated from making a thread like this...but after seeing what happened on Sleepywood and what is beginning to happen on SouthPerry.net, I figure I'd give it a shot- whether anyone wants to listen or not.

Before reading this thread stop and ask yourself if you are mature enough to engage in an intelligent conversation and if you think you may have the tendency to flame, leave this thread now. Don't waste our time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been seeing a lot of topics saying "Yellonde fuckin sucks" and similar things. Yellonde is what you make it. If you choose to create a server full of immature and impulsive idiots, then that's your choice. A lot of people including myself came to Yellonde looking for a new start, not because we were "outcasts" from our old servers but because we wanted to start anew and give it a try and see what we could make of it. I have a strong group of friends in Scania and a good guild and alliance. I went into Yellonde with an open mind not expecting anything in return or trying to be "Number 1." The sad fact is, if you are so worried about being the best in a video game at the expense of hurting the feelings of other human beings, then you need to really re-check your morals.

I'm not here to make a whiny case to anyone or to come off as "Oh I'm better than you" or anything like that. I'd hate to see a server with such potential that frankly has a lot of decent people. You're going to get ass holes anywhere, but if you don't try to rise above the jerks in the server...then you're just as bad as them and you'll be creating an even bigger problem. People in GMS wonder "Why do all the other versions hate us?" You get answers like "Because GMSers are little rich brats," or "Because they're jerks." That's not totally true. Again, this goes back to making it what you want it to be. If people would just maybe actually treat others a little nicer and stop thinking about only themselves we might get somewhere. I could get into a long discussion about everyone disliking NEXON America, but I know that would just provoke an even bigger flame war.

I guess what I'm trying to say is people have to stop counting Yellonde out so soon. We still have a chance to make this server great...we just have to get our priorities straight. I hope no one takes this post too personally and I hope you are all mature enough to discuss this and share your opinions on the direction of this server. We really need to stop with these immature posts and comments towards others. We're not Sleepywood.net, are we? We can rise above them.

Note To Mods: I realize this thread has the potential to be catastrophic and I take responsibility for posting this. Lets hope the South Perry community is mature enough to not ruin this thread.

I do agree that it is what you make it, but to be honest, more than just a few people aren't making the best of it now and many of them probably won't until over 50%+ of the population disappears after the 2x events end (or a week after, when their cards end).

This seems to happen with all new servers these days; enormous drama phase and no one lets it die because they keep making "end the drama" topics after it's already done and over with. See: Sleepywood Yellonde section for proof of that. If people could let it go and cooperate, we could definitely turn it around. However, the majority of the GMS playerbase aren't quite out of the self-centered part of the teen years, so that's kind of too much to expect if you want it from the current mass majority of the server. That, and some people like the drama. lol `-`

As far as Yello's forum on SP goes, I'm actually impressed at how contained all the arguing is, and how many people are able to handle it with some degree of maturity. It's nice not have an entire subforum spammed with "he said she said glitch this glitch that anti this anti that legit this legit that" etc. I don't mean to imply that it isn't there, 'cause it definitely is.. but it's contained.

Imo the most we can hope for is that after things die down and all the people who are returning to their former servers hit the road, Yellonde can be a server that's willing to work together. Yeah, it's gonna lose a lot of people.. a lot.. hell, it's already lost a lot.. but the ones who stay are the ones that make it what it is anyway, right? I wouldn't worry too much.

PS. Yeah this thread does have that potential, but like I said, I wouldn't worry too much. It may get locked for the nature of the thread itself though since it kind of opens the door for what SW is currently experiencing (in the Yello subforum anyway).

Yeah, it's only 6 days into the server and all of this stuff is happening so soon...

I don't know whether or not I'm allowed to input my lameness into this awesomely made thread. D: But here goes anyways,

All servers ever since the start of I'd probably go along with Zakum to be honest along with the release of 2x cards, or rather yet, the increasing amount of players given in Global from the notice that we've hit 1 million players -?- That pretty much the whole community for Global has changed.

We could honestly look back and dwell through all the great times where not everything was so fought over, such as caring too much for rankings, equipment, just overall being the best everyone wants right? Yeah we could, but that doesn't do us any good either.

My thoughts are just like, people care
way too much for a game nowadays, especially in Maple. It's just a game, you're supposed to enjoy it, so I agree with the thread starter saying that if you want to go through such extremeness to hurt other people, because of a game, you guys need to get your morals and values straightened out.

All the supporters of Eternity or friends in general obviously are just having their fun in their doings because they know they're getting others in anger and such. I know the majority of them and I can honestly say that there's really just two sides to them. You may see immaturity for a lot of the times, but that's just their way of having fun. They're really good and decent people for the most part, but I'd really also say that some of them really have changed, but not so much because they're just having fun. D:

Idk where I'm going.

Oh, and drama literally makes me sad because it tears everyone apart.

P.S. This is the cycle of most servers from what I know from experience lol.

Stage 1 : Start
Stage 2 : Drama
Stage 3 : Things just happen and it goes on a downward spiral including market crash bhahbbh
Stage 4 : People leave and whatnot
Stage 5 : Eventually starts to get stable.

Anywho though, there was a lot more stages, but I can't recall how I detailed it all.

Maybe I'll playing again when stage 5 starts, seeing as how we're currently in middle of stage 2. Just to much of drama in Yellonde now, it's almost unbearable.

Yah I think yellonde will get through all this eventually but its just kinda dumb of you to post what you said about a "eternity" with never having played yellonde.
I wont go into detail but ksing me for dc ores and following me isnt just having fun.
Thats being an ass.
I hope what i just said is fine because I didnt mention any names.

But I could care less because im in yellonde for the long run and ill just have to stick it out.

I do agree with Strawberries in that people care way too much about games such as maple. But with these MMORPG's you get a different environment than just a console or one player game. By interacting with other people you bring with you your feelings. People get hurt and people care about each other. As much as people say "Oh, it's just a game. Get a life," people are really in theory interacting just like if they weren't on the computer. So, because of that fact people take things seriously and act like they would in the normal lives (with a few exceptions).

About Eternity...I never even knew there was an Eternity in Yellonde. Maybe I'm just misinformed but I don't really give a crap about the people who want to control Yellonde. If you want to control Yellonde, then good luck with that. I don't want any part in it. Again, people are counting the server out too soon. It's the 7th day since Yellonde was released...and we have years to make it what we want it to- if MapleStory lasts that long.

Edit: I also agree with Strawberries's point on having to wait it out. The people who avoid drama and just keep to themselves and their friends will make it to the end. The top 25...I don't see a lot of them sticking around.

Actually, KSing is one of their fun ways, it's odd, but that's how it is. & I can't make out what you're trying to say here, because you're making no sense.

Quote:post what you said about a "eternity" with never having played yellonde.

Believe it or not, it WILL take time, but they'll leave for the next server or quit within the next -sadly- few months, because if you haven't read one of David's lol posts.

Presents Wrote:According to the original Rule 3...ppl2pass. live by it, die by it, Miggy is clearly showing the world his pride. Since he is not hacking, he is breaking no Eternity rules, therefore, he is ppl2passing, living by it, and will die by it once he gets banned, IF he gets banned.

Grats Tau and Miggy, you make us proud.

I don't know if anyone would remember this too much, but it was also because you had to be a Kradian to see what drama went on as well.

Here's a screenshot of one of the crazy insane smegas from WORSHlPME, who was friends/in Eternity & I guess Masuwerte as well.
 no

Masuwerte & Royal/Promise anyone?
http://sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1354042

Eternity had nothing to do with Kradia mostly because they weren't so destructive because the majority of those destructive ones didn't end up going.

Just like, don't care about anything with what's going on & stick with your friends. That's why the majority of people who end up quitting are because they feel that they were affected by the drama and such. -Doesn't know what I'm saying-

I kinda relate a lot of this stuff to a lot of the drama experience in Kradia though. =/

Strawberries is right, they care too much & that can't really be helped when you start spending real money on the game (for a lot of people, not all of them). It'll be those who stay out of the drama & play the game with their friends that stay to make Yellonde whatever it becomes.

Control freaks always exist, and the members of Eternity are very capable (most of them anyway) of reaching levels high enough to do such a thing.. but they'll leave eventually. When people stop letting Eternity have fun screwing with them & they get bored of no moar ppl2pass, they'll probably go their separate ways or prep for the next server or something. It'll take time, though.

lol @ kyo.. those smegas bring back memories u.u

& you can say Strawberries doesn't play Yellonde, but anyone who played Mardia knows them well, and anyone who played Kradia knows some of them pretty well. It's not like this is the first 'Eternity'.

Strawberries Wrote:P.S. This is the cycle of most servers from what I know from experience lol.

Stage 1 : Start
Stage 2 : People grind & then go o__o at the first level 30 & wonder why that wasn't them; the first 30 is seen as #1 until they are passed; nabz start adding the top players because they can
Stage 3 : Guilds start popping up and people join their "sides"
Stage 4 : People get bored of grinding or pqing 24/7 & start drama
Stage 5 : Things just happen and it goes on a downward spiral including market crash bhahbbh; sometimes things're expoited or hackers pop up (i.e. kradia's guild hacker) to make things worse
Stage 6 : People fight over how to run zakum & who should be allowed to run, etc; SW subforum goes on lockdown for a while
Stage 7 : A large part of the population deems the server fail and leaves
Stage 8 : People whose friends left tend to leave
Stage 9 : Dead server is dead but slowly gets more people and advances further
Stage 10 : New server comes out, even more leave, but now world transfers can start showing up; the effects & whether it repeats itself depend on who's left in the server & their feelings on immigrants

Anywho though, there was a lot more stages, but I can't recall how I detailed it all.

Well I'm pretty sure everyone that knows Eternity remembers this:

Rule #2 is mostly what they do. `-`

Non animated format + old rules lol

Oh & yeah. I remembered thanks to Haiku that the last stage was new server comes out, things kinda really settle down and then get flooded by immigrants lol.

Yeah.. too much Eternity stuff, but I'm still waiting what one of the guys up there meant by "With never played Yellonde"

Pretty much, in the end, everyone's within the top, mostly leaves & things just settle down. Like I said, there's mainly 3 types of Maplers if you read that up, you'd know who exactly is type [1] and so on.

Right now, the server is in flux because there is 1. a constant 2x event making everyone edgy and competitive and 2. a catastrophic glitch that turns that 2x into a goldmine for people cutting corners.

Take away the glitch and take away the 2x, and Yollande is just another server, albeit with lower average levels and an undeveloped economy. As someone else here said, a lot of people are going to server-change the moment the event ends. You gotta admit, a 8x character at the expense of a 25k nx server change is attractive.

The only real question is whether Nexon is going to punish the glitchers, which is what it would take to bring balance to the ranks. But honestly, there's crap like this on every server, so I think this one will survive too.

You can't really balance anything, there's always something that will throw something off regardless. Large lack amount of certain classes and such.

2x doesn't change anything in regards to just another world because all it does is just speed up the process of those leveling, because the results are still the same in the end that they'll make it up there to a certain rank. Those capable of grinding are always going to be up there.

Thing is with this world is that people are already what? Trying to organize Zakum runs? Exclude certain people from the list because they can? What else does that start? Drama. Yeah the glitchers are the one who somewhat started it, but everyone had their chance of making a lolfp or rather yet, a hermit.

No world, is ever stabilized for long. There's always going to be drama, whether it's a big one or not.

That still doesn't make any sense. I can talk about Eternity in Yellonde if I don't even play in Yellonde? What are you even trying to say?

-edit- Okay after reading BOTH of those posts, I've finally came to realize what the heck you were trying to say. It was so hard because of your lack of grammar, but it also confused me because you called me dumb by posting stuff about Eternity when I've never played Yellonde.

I don't need to play Yellonde & has Haiku said, anybody doesn't have to play Yellonde to understand what Eternity is and what they do. So I can talk about them all I pretty much want to, because I know a lot more background on why "Eternity is Yellonde" and so forth. However it still bugs me as to why you even bothered to tell me that I'm kind of dumb to be posting things about Eternity, when I don't play here.

Responding to your post below:
Yes I can, I can and will be able to talk about Eternity because of the reasons above. Who needs to play Yellonde to experience Eternity when you know so much about them & was part of them previously in the past? Don't tell me I can't talk about Eternity.

I see Chris viewing this thread. Can't wait to hear his blasphemy!

-edit- Chris has nothing to say. ]:

It's true, Eternity is just Eternity. They are the exact same here as they are in Mardia.. nothing has changed. Really, nothing has at all. Except with 4x they're leveling even faster. Some of them are meaner than they were, but for the most part, they're the same. Same people, same rules, same goals, and same logic. You really don't have to play Yellonde to understand Eternity.. especially if you know the people in it.

Cool it guys :o this is what the TC's 'Note to Mods' is about; try to avoid it~

Ay, cool it on the name calling. Just because you know Eternity and what they do doesn't make you in alignment with their lack of morals over the internet. `-` Srsly, chill. This isn't SW & there's no need for that & getting a perfectly ok thread locked.

All Strawberries said was that that's one of Eternity's ideas of FUN. Yes, they ENJOY doing things like that. The more you hate them for it, the more you swear at them, the more you call them names, the more you show them they piss you off.. the more they're going to get out of it, they more they're going to target you, and the more they're going to stay in Yellonde.
