Possible explanation for some hacked accounts

Read about halfway down, regarding RockYou. Also, if your password is any on the list, just post your account on a hacking site and save them the 10 seconds it would take to guess.[/COLOR]

I used to use "qwerty" as my password when i was like 10, lol.
There are a good amount of people on the other hand who use that counter thing that rates the strength of your password as a game. Max it out, and use that as your password.

The strength of my passwords greatly depend on what it's being used for. My bank password is over 10 digits with numbers, letters and special characters. My "email that I don't care about that I give whenever something absolutely requires an email to sign up" password is much, much simpler.
I haven't gone to RockYou, but to be fair it sounds like something that wouldn't warrant a second's thought.

LOL. I have like 4 or 5 different passwords in my arsenal. All containing capitals and numbers and some have special characters. :<
That's funny yet so typical. I think it's easily explained by the computer illiteracy of some people. You really expect people who can type 10 WPM to type in an intricate password every time they log into their precious Facebook account? Nah.
