Bullet Consumption
#1
I've been wondering, do all Gunslinger skills consume bullets? Like Fake Shot and Throwing Bomb?

Does Invisible Shot only consume one bullet or three or depending on how many monsters you hit? (If it does)

Do the Burner/Freezer (3rd job skills) only consume Blaze/Glaze capsules or does it also use up a bullet?

My last question. Do Battleship skills (Cannon and Torpedo) consume bullets?

Your summons don't take bullets, that's for sure
I think fakeshot doesn't take one either

I'm unsure about everything else though

Fake Shot & Throwing Bomb don't use bullets. Invisible Shot only uses one regardless of how many monsters you hit. Cooling Effect and Fire Burner only consume capsules upon use, and I'm not sure about Cannon & Torpedo, but I'm assuming that neither one uses bullets.

Cannon uses as many bullets as there are cannon balls, and Torpedo uses one bullet regardless of how many mobs it hits.

Thanks for the answers.

I thought that Battleship mode was gonna be their "Soul Bullet".

I was hoping for that as well.. Sad

At least it doesn't take many bullets though. Shouldn't be too hard to keep enough on-hand for that, especially because the level 70 bullets hold 2400 each slot and even more for the higher leveled bullets.

Personally I think Gunslingers will have a lot less Bullet problems than NLs have star problems late game. Sure they have Soul Javelin (which they won't max until 17x or later) but Gunslingers have more than triple the capacity per slot. Also Hermits shoot the most projectiles per second in the game (10 per second, including the SP stars). Gunslingers will either use 8.3 a second (Bullet Storm) or less if they're using any other skill, which they should be quite often.

Off Topic: Gunslingers should NOT have Wind Booster because it wouldn't increase their attack speed at all due to the speed limit in MS.

SP stars don't really count though, since they don't use stars to begin with (according to Hermit friends).

Captain bullet consumption will basically be the same as a Bowmaster's (Hurricane = Rapid Fire, Cannonball = Strafe, etc), assuming the Bowmaster isn't using SA.

I'm pretty sure there's no "speed limit", the faster the weapon the more shots it does per minute. With wind booster a gunslinger (speed 3 weapon) should be doing 110+ attacks per minute.

SP does use stars.

It should be less, I think. A Bowmaster uses nearly nothing but Hurricane whereas a Captain should be using Cooling Effect, Gaviota, and Battleship as much as possible. All of which consume far less bullets than the Bullet Storm.

Oh, it does? Mayo's a nib, then. >>

Do the summons even use bullets? o-O

I can see your point though, they would be using less bullets as long as they're on their Battleship. However, at a boss, they would probably be using Rapid Fire for their best DPS, which uses far more bullets (unless they can't survive without Battleship).

Is 110 with rapid fire or triple fire? Since apparently rapid fire is a fixed fire rate like hurricane, so it wouldn't be affected by wind booster anyway.

I really want to see if triple fire + wind booster outperforms rapid fire though.

Battleship damage >>> rapid fire damage.

There is a speed limit at the moment, 100 attacks per minute is as fast as it goes with normal attacks. A faster (3) weapon attacks at the same speed as a fast (4) weapon. With Booster, that is.

There's one thing I'm not sure of as to the speed limit. Does a faster (3) weapon get any faster when you use booster?

And yeah, Takebacker is right. Battleship Cannon is much stronger than Rapid Fire.

According to the attacking speeds posted, yes. But not as much as the increase from fast (4).

I don't think bullets will be a problem. Maybe a lot of money. But I think you'll have enough to last you till next repot. If you balance out your inventory you should.

That sucks that you have to use bullets for battleship though.

Anyone want to guess an estimate of how much capsules and bullets will cost?

Anyone know what they drop from?

I just noticed something with Cooling Effect last night that's kind of interesting. Not sure if it's a glitch or not, but when I ran out of Freeze Capsules, CE started consuming bullets. The damage was about half of what it was with the capsules, but the monsters still froze.. I guess you're able to use the skill with just bullets afterall.
