I remember doing that quest in KMS. Maybe it's just a bad copy and paste job.

It is this, remember if your computer isn't in whatever language and you get that language you get ??? marks? This is just that, a horrible copy-paste job. A few quest maps are like this in GMS, cept I can see it cuz my comp is in korean.
