Whats Your IQ?
#1
So, always a fun thing to answer: what is your IQ? Ive taken a few IQ tests online, and so far this is the best one I have found

http://www.highiqsociety.org/iq_tests/

So, post your score, and whether or not it was the advanced (TA3) or normal IQ test. The tests normally use time as a factor, so looking up answers on google could easily lower your score rather than helm it.

I will try and keep this post updated with the AVERAGE IQ of all who post their score, along with the lowest, and the highest out of them all.

My score for the normal test was 115. For the advanced I got 100 even XD

Highest: 131 (2)
Average: 110
Lowest: 83

I like, spent 2 minutes on the test, guessed on mostly everything with a glance and got an 83. :/ If I was actually trying I could do better. I'm just to tired to care. xD

I got a 91. I just woke up though.

An IQ tests determines your IQ points...not your intelligence.

Tried again, I have no clue why. 108 on TA3, not bad I guess after being awake for so long. x_x

I'm going to refrain from posting, as most are just going to think I'm lying, of which I can understand.

Eww. I didn't know any of the theorems for the last part, the factual knowledge, and I'm terrible at visual memory to top that off.

I still got a 121 though :/. (TA3) Maybe I'll try it again when I'm more awake...

EDIT: Re-took it. 126 now.

ohsnap! I scored higher by guessing randomly XDCool

94 on random guesses. Too lazy to take it seriously. D:

Oh, and IQ test bug me. I took one a while ago, in real life(wtp is that?). On that test, 80-70 was stupid, below that was DeDeDee. 120-ish was average, I think, and 130 was gifted.
On this test, 55 is Dededee, 100 is average, and 160 is gifted. .__.

I detest IQ tests. I took a computer one with my "friend" years ago, he scored higher, and he thought I was of inferior intellect ever since. Though I graduated Georgetown and became a professional writer, and he flunked out of three colleges. I dated a girl who had 151 IQ, and we were always on equal terms... I think stuff like MENSA is just elitist bullshit to make the "in" people feel better about themselves at the expense of others.

Psychology is a fairly young discipline and not that much is known about the brain. To somehow claim that they've discovered a "reliable" way of measuring intellect is pretty stupid, imo.

I got 100 on random guesses, 124 on taking it seriously [ta3 for both]. But all IQ tests are different and none of them are 100% accurate, so I don't really care about what score I get.

I did not see this as a true IQ test, as too much of it was based on actual knowledge and not the ability to think, reason or use logic which is what IQ truly is. The sequential part of the test was appropriate, but being able to name various mathematical theories or paradoxes does not measure intelligence.

Basically, it's a fun way to use your brain for a few minutes, but I wouldn't take the results too seriously. As with any test of intelligence, your level of intelligence doesn't matter nearly as much as what you are able to do with it. I consistently test in the very high range, and yet due to learning diabilities (dyslexia, etc) I did not do nearly as well in school or in life as my husband who has a slightly lower IQ (2 points) but has a doctorate.

Or, to put it in words that teens may better understand...it's not the size, it's how you use it Cool

I clicked it, saw the first picture, clicked the x.

My brain isn't in it's prime working condition this morning. I'll try later, maybe after I have a beer.

Hey! I resent that statement >=(. I'm a teenager and I fully understood what you said in your 2nd paragraph

By definition, a score of 100 on an IQ test is average. Anyone who tells you anything else is wrong, lying, or using an intelligence test which does not measure IQ. See, IQ stands for intelligence quotient, and it is represented as a 100 baseline when comparing you to your piers. Small children and very old people tend to be less intelligent, so if you're very sharp at a young age or quick when you're old, your IQ will actually be a bit higher. Alternatively, if you peak young and remain level throughout your life (not really possible...), your IQ will appear less impressive during the middle of your life.

Incidentally, I recall taking one of these things before and being intensely dissatisfied with it. Too much emphasis on speed. I have an excellent capacity for learning (was at the top of the test scores of the last math class I took in High School... when I failed it due to not doing any of the homework), but sometimes I'm just not so fast. Also, as others have said, some of these things test knowledge, and that's not related to intelligence at all (although intelligence can be identified as one's potential capacity for knowledge). Someone who is very intelligent can be not very knowledgeable and vice versa. I think the score I got on the one I took before was between 125 and 129, but I do recall noting that it was definitely below 130. This must've been about 5 years ago though... haha. If I was to take the same test now, I'd get a lower score I think. Second half of high school into college years, I kinda fizzled out. I still have intelligence, but I hardly practice it at all, so I surely would come off as weaker on a test now.
