focusing on DoT stacking is going to hinder your DPS.
Mist eruption has a cooldown of 10 seconds
my usual routine at hilla/single body boss
- slow her,
- Mist
- cast all your DoTs
- Eruption
- Spam paralyze until Mist eruption cools down
- Mist
- Immediately Erupt(because your DoTs are still going on(20 seconds~25 seconds) and your Arcane aim will most likely be stacked full)
- Mist
- Cast DoTs
- Spam paralyze
i cant emphasize just how much you need to use as much paralyze as possible in that small time frame Eruption is cooling down. Mist eruption alone isn't really viable for DPS. So i say paralyze and arcane aim first. Big bang can wait.
1. 1v1 bossing and bossing in general...
2. but only if you're heavily funded and easily hit max (currently in GMS) with Eruption, and I'd say about 500k+ with Paralyze. Because of the cooldown, paralyze spamming would yield better DPM.
Paralyze spamming alone is not ideal for training though, but it certainly helps to incorporate it as much as possible while setting up Eruption. So basically, funding comes into question here. Then again when the cap gets raised and the 5 second cooldown comes into play Mist Eruption becomes a lot more helpful for bossing and training than it is now.
Edit: Also, if you're not heavily-funded, that 1 Big Bang early helps a ton to make Eruption better.

So you only cast eruption twice or so at hilda. or is there a repeat at the end?

Enjoy it while it lasts. Won't be so easy anymore after they raise caps :[. On the other hand, it'll be a great change for those who have enough power to hit well past 1m..
Re: Fire/Poison Mage Skill Distribution Guide (post-Tempest)
I'm thinking of adding a "Training Places" Section. So far a rough draft of it:
Training Places
lvl 1-15: Job-related Quests, Slime
lvl 16-30: Mixed Golem, Rotting Skeleton
lvl 31-40: Kerning Square Mall + Associated Quests, Dead Scarecrow (only if well-equipped)
lvl 41-50: Dead Scarecrow
lvl 51-60: Twisted Jesters
lvl 61-80: Twisted Jesters, Stone Goblins at Golden temple (if available), may start at Aliens as early as lvl 60 if you can be teleported there and moderately-equipped, Sand Rats and Scropions at Sahel 2 (until about lvl 75), Roids (at around lvl 75)
lvl 81-90: Aliens, Twisted Jesters, Blue Goblins at Golden Temple (if available), Jr. Selkie, Slimy, Gallopera, Roids
lvl 91-100: Aliens, Jr. Selkie, Slimy, Gallopera, White Mama Monkey at Golden Temple (if available).
lvl 101-110: Aliens, lvl 120+ Golden Temple Monsters, Crocky (if well-equipped), Dual Ghost Pirate
lvl 110-130: Crocky, Reindeer, Bearwolf
lvl 131-166: BearWolf
lvl 165+: Future Ereve Knights
Events: Red Leaf High School (if available). RLHS is one of the best EXP to get during non-2x exp events or card use. If you can complete all Red Leaf High stages within 10 minutes, buying keys from cash shop is worth it. If not, but you can complete most, do these stages daily anyway.
I may add other things like Crowd-Factor, and Drops, as well as links to respective maps. Let me know if I'm missing something or if something is wrong/misplaced (I'm sure it is). Thanks

Yeah a training area is nice I guess. I dunno though. I may be a bad person on this since honnestly I just about dont look at guides for class advice anymore. Other than Does X>Y in increasing my raw damage?
And when I do make a new character I always train Away from people. So I guess what you have is good.

Sahel 2 is sand rats? And Roids until what level? Is it crowded? How good is the spawn at those places? I'm asking all this since I've never really tried training at these places before.
Re: Fire/Poison Mage Skill Distribution Guide (post-Tempest)
Sahel 2 is sand rats and scorps the spawn is pretty good and its not to crowded in gms
Roids I stay till like 85ish possibly 90 spawn is alright (amazing for rushers outside of the mini dungeon and inside is amazing for AOE atks) and no that crowded last i checked(but that was like 2 months ago)
Another suggestion for f/ps would be duals in ludi clocktower for level 105+ amazing spawn dead(its ludi clocktower) and you get ele advantage
