This. Even though I'm not from Auss or New Zealand. I feel for them since they do play here and it's their original home / still is their home. Maybe with this New Nexon we will see changes for that too. Only time will tell and I'm sure they'll get to it sooner or later...just that their list is SOOOO long of other things they need to take care of.

No. They specifically told the old non-americans that they were welcome to keep playing on their accounts, and they have had and still do have options to charge NX from outside of the states. That was the reason they added PayByCash as an option in the first place.
Their main focus group is americans, no argument there, but it is too much of a leap to adopt the stance that the rest of us have no place at all. Myself, I don't ask for Nexon to do anything special for me as a european veteran player, but I do abore how parts of the community fail to understand that a fat part of the community is not from the states. For gods sake, take a trip through FM or LHC and see how much spanish you see. And most of us refrain from using our native language in open chat since it is unpolite.

tbh the only real way of knowing "do they accept our money" is if they sell Karma Koin for GMS in your area.

I think you should have a look at ems forum to see whats actually happening there atm. I dont know if Im allowed to speak of it on this forum but it includes a lot of database leak.

I wonder if you would be the one laughing, if gMS servers would be in Europe, new accounts made from USA would be all blocked, all events and content would be optimized for European timezone, you couldn't buy NX with PayPal because of your location, NX cards were not sold in your country and PvP would be one laggy hellhole. All your characters and items, years of hard work were in gMS, but Nexon wanted you to go play MapleStory USA, game that's overrun by hackers(even more than gMS) and centuries behind in content.

Back when I started, I'm willing to bet that about half of the players were from outside the US. Some have moved to eMS, maybe. But many more have quitted this game alltogether. And hell, for some countries, there just isn't any version besides gMS.

So please. At least try to put yourself in my shoes >_>

I'm not suggesting Nexon to make events for European times. I'm suggesting to make events available for all timezones. It isn't even hard. Make 2x event coupons and put a daily limit on getting Honor Points from Azwan.

Why can't Nexon NA do this? Because all they can do is copy-paste content from Korea, which are made for a single timezone.

I've played KMS(T). I've played JMS for a time as well. Don't act like i don't know what you're talking about. Just don't act like you're so in love with the game to be sticking with it for so long when it clearly isn't made in your favor, and don't make it seem like europeans/outsiders are the life blood of the damn company either. People really need to stop acting like Global is filled only with US people! I wont go around pulling numbers out of my arse like some, but it is plain incorrect to brush aside the non US community as small.
Also, fact is, it was the global version for years before closing the doors, and they DID let people with accounts stay unblocked when they changed their focus. That creates a responsibility since they do accept our money, no matter how much some asshats want to claim lolNexonAm-sucks-to-be-u-lol.

I never implied GMS is only those in north america. Just that the foreign community isn't as large as THIRTY TO FIFTY PERCENT OF THE USER BASE. If it were truly that size, you better believe they would cater towards more friendly events.

I'm gonna guess that the BigWig status is awarded/revoked based on how much NX you charge to your account in a given period of time (most likely a month if it is indeed like this). AKA, a pseudo-"subscription fee" for direct gameplay advantages over non-spenders. Take a look at Mabinogi's service packages for an idea of how this might play out in Maple.

Can't Nexon just say it's from 2-8 PM and make Maple detect your IP address / location and give you the EXP depending on where you live?

And that is what they do with the DB return/Hilla patch. Never mind that the daily cap is small as hell.

If you want this, just wait the DB Return/Hilla Boss Fight patch, you get 5 times to enter azwan per day to get 500 honor exp in total (100 per entry). Sadly that limitation is so pomegranatety that you have to spend like 5xx days of doing the 5 pq per day to max the Honor Exp and get the 3 Inner Ability Slots. And if you ask me thats stupidly bullpomegranate. Ergo why i am so happy we get the pre-nerf version first because i at least have the chance to max that pomegranate faster.

They probably could, but they won't. They mostly do Copy Pasting stuff from Kms and since Kms only had to cater to the Korean Fan Base, they gave a crap about making it easier to people from other countries. And since Gms is Global in name only, they will most likely won't bother with it either.

How much honour experience does one obtain from the Azwan battle? Also, for the inner ability I assume that it is random which one you get, correct? Do the levels of the inner ability raise automatically when you level up your honour, or is there some other system such as a random level for it, aswell?

The time restriction is removed in favor of a PQ limitation, which, in the end, is completely ridiculous nerf. In order to get to the final level of inner ability via honor exp, you literally need to do the max number of PQs per day for more than a year.
