The Chronicles of Masteria [UPDATED 7/22/08]
IsaacGS Wrote:Here's something which hasn't occurred to us until now: What if the boss is not included in the 45-120? I mean, if I were to ask you what level the Mansion is, you would tell me 30-60, not 30-101. Same for El Nath, Ludi, etc. Typically for a single area, the boss is substantially higher than the highest leveled ordinary monster. The only place this doesn't really hold up is Aqua (Pianus being 110 and Cold Sharks being 102, not a huge difference.)

Then again, if this expansion is two areas (as I predict it will be, Crimsonwood and an as-of-yet-unnamed Ninja town, perhaps even more) then it could be that there are other bosses mixed in (for example, the end of the ninja area might have a level 80 boss [this is a random number], but Crimsonwood's would be much higher.) No one said there had to be just one boss.

Yeah, that does make sense. NxProse did say that the strongest monster is 120. I'm guessing bosses aren't monsters.

Does anyone else see that "...We" is bigger then the rest?

The "'ve" part is smaller and that looks weird. It could just be an error, or the fanciness of starting a quote or passage with a larger word/letter. Personally, I don't think it means anything.

Why doesn't Lita just go and kill it herself?

Sheriff, my ass.

Lol, it'd be funny that along with the Ninja Dragon Clan release, there's a new Ninja class. But that's highly unlikely since that's basically what thieves are. O.o...

Holypie Wrote:notice this is from lita lawless, who isn't even involved with crimsonwood? unless she's secretly the thief grandmaster...
All these groups and such, they existed 1,000 years ago in the past Masteria. Right now it appears there are no members of any of the groups still alive (unless you count anyone lucky enough to be in possession of Bosshunter armor, Winkels, Nevas, or Stormcaster Gloves), however that is not an assumption we can jump to.

Now, Crimsonwood Keep we will be visiting is in the present (Lita talking about it is pretty much confirmation, as is Jack Barricade.). So, it's not weird at all that currently existing NPCs such as Lita Lawless, whom you will recall is charged with the safety of the town, to be concerned about the events on the rest of the continent.

Also, you shouldn't stress about the "We" being larger. I mean, it's pretty common for the first word of a quote to be larger than the rest, especially an isolated quote without context like this one.

Anyone noticed that the ranged classes are in consecutive numbers?

80 Arch Mages, 90 Bowmasters, 100 Nightlords, and 110 Marksmen.

my guess is that the boss will have a relation to the ranged and magic sectors of the CK, also, it makes sense seeing as they have less loses than the others. but thats just my thought Angry

Uhm.. These are just my assumptions so don't flame me please, because some of them may be stupid..

In my opinion, the boss could be a boss that you can only beat with the help of all the jobs (Magician, Bowman, Thief and Warrior).. who knows.

I also think that there will be some quests from Lita Lawless.

I think I know what lvl the boss is gonna be!!!!

taking the numbers, withs odd 10s places as minus (except for paladins) and the even as adding, all divided by 2. heres what i did

190 Paladins, 160 Heros, 110 Marksmen, 100 Nightlords, 90 Bowmasters, 80 Arch Mages, 50 Shadowers

190+160-110+100-90+80-50=280

280 / 2 = 140!!!

what do you think?

What is your reason for dividing it by 2?

seemed logical to divide since there is a lvl cap of 200, so its assuming that bosses also would have a lvl 200 cap, therefore 280 is too high to be within that cap, and anything higher than 2 would bring a weaker monster that people would laugh at being able to stomp 4th jobbers. Other than that, it just seemed right to divide by 2...2nd major expansion maybe? @-a

280 is too high? XD

It is odd that those maths result in 140, the new Quest Level cap. :f6:

Heres another thought, there were DKs and Bishops ommited from the numbers....2!!!

im running on pure speculation here >_>

*math and stuff*

what do you think?
What if melee are positive and ranged are negative:

160 - 100 - 80 + 190 - 90 - 110 + 50 = 20

Then multiply it by the number of Bishops, it's 0. Add 120, because they're all 4th job and that's the level for the advancement and you have... 120!

But isn't the highest level monster 120? :f6:

Haku, Zakum is 140. Tongue HT is 160. Grandpa is 175.

Hmm... There's gotta be a reason Dark Knights and Bishops were excluded.

Yeah but, in the next Masteria area, the highest level monster is 120.
Or that's at least what I think NxProse said.

EDIT:
NxProse Wrote:What level range is the new Masteria expansion for?

Lowest monster is 45, highest is 120.

Numbers are giving me a headache ima call it a day i hope there is a hidden meaning to them but i just keep coming up with blanks ... i tried counting every letter in the sentance and finding the letters as the numbers or the the number of words or the number of grammar mistakes .... too many elipses.... i gives up. I tried counting letters alone ... letters and numbers ... letters and symbols but it was all gibberish...

350 Warriors, 200 Bowmen, 150 Thieves, 80 Magicians.

190 Paladins, 160 Heros, 110 Marksmen, 100 Nightlords, 90 Bowmasters, 80 Arch Mages, 50 Shadowers

Maybe it has something to do with the stats?

(credits to HS, stats of headless horseman):
Weapon attack: 600
Magic attack: 650
Weapon defense: 800
Magic defense: 800
Speed: -15
Accuracy: 190
Avoidability: 42

Maybe if you replace all the values with the apropriate numbers? Although, I doubt even if you combine the warriors (350) and put that as weapon ATK to offer any difficulty... however, like someone stated before:

350 Warriors, 200 Bowmen, 150 Thieves, 80 Magicians.
It seems like it has something to do with their equip stat, considering Doomsday staff requires exactly 80luk, but the others aren't as exact. I looked up on HS and nothing requires 350STR for warriors as far as I know.

Maybe they're random and they're just trying to mindfuck us. Frown

Edit: Just realized I might aswell copy/paste Isaac's screen about Facestomper guy in here.
 Spoiler

Gurdle the unarmored...

It says that you need alot of dextirity... meaning teleporting away? That could prove as to why so little magicians died, yet so many warriors. Or it could be even more proof it requires alot of avoid.

At the same time, it especially says the guy never used armor; And remember where NxProse said he wanted 'strategic' bossfights (Like APQ, even though that's not very strategic)? Maybe it's going to be one of those fights with a big slow guy where you have to wait and hit him in the back, where it's the only place he has no armor (Like many old video games, crash bandicoot for example had alot of these type of bosses; even newer games like fable had one.)

Anyone ever think they're looking too much into how many classes have fallen to this boss?
