It never ceases to amaze me how the radicals in a religion are automatically taken as the "standard" for people to ridicule them.

Not all Christians are like this, and instead of pointing at religious people as a whole, why not just point to the idiots doing this?

Because you (The normal religion follower peoples) dont take the time to kick in their asses the fanatics to stop ashaming your religion. Outsiders takes those fanatics as the standard because they are the most commonly seen morons.

I try to be religiously tolerant, and then stuff like this happens. I only have so much patience.

I think it's because that's all the outsiders see. It'd be a miracle if people held back on any generalization at all, let alone the religious one.

(Anti)Smoking.
Diets.
Abortion.

Anything that can be polarizing is particularly susceptible to vocal fanaticism. Of the four I just named only one has a tie into religious fanaticism as a potential spillover fanaticism.

I thought there are more religious fanatics because theres a huge amount of religious people (about 90% of the world).

That certainly does provide a significantly larger population of exposure than most things for the fanatically inclined to be drawn to, but I would not believe that it's the sole reason.

I'm going to be skeptical of this.

i think if i ever received a bible, i would hiss, and crawl away, and ask my friends to measure reactions.

I don't mind people passing out Bibles and sharing their faith, but I do not like this notion that Halloween is intrinsically evil and anti-Christian. I don't get the reasoning behind that.

It's the leftovers of a "pagan" belief, of course it is evil. Just like every other religion is to every other religion.

Because those Christians are dumb and don't see that halloween is just another carnival (the big ass party before the 40 days of being nice (yeah right) that closes with easter), is like the all saints day is dead to them (lol) and have to hijack the all hallow's eve (hallow aka saint), next you'll see them hijack Christmas eve and carnival.

My family is Christian and celebrates Halloween. I haven't seen any verses in the Bible that these people can use to back up their argument that Halloween is evil.
