10,000 Free Flights to Japan

Basically, ever since the tsunami struck Japan and there was nearly a nuclear disaster, Japan's tourism has been suffering greatly. The Japanese parliament is trying to pass this bill to get 10,000 free flights to Japan to increase tourism. If this passes, you can apply to be one of the 10,000 selected, but you have to agree to write a report on your experience in Japan.



If this bill passes, you know for sure I'm going to be jumping at the chance to be one of the 10,000. The chances are so slim, though... ;w;

Is this region locked, or is every country able to apply?
Cause, I'd totally dó it!

Me too! When that situation went down, my mom was asking if I'd help out in the relief if I could and I flat out told her, if I could get on a plan right then to go help, I wouldn't hesitate.

No offense, but why don't you have a passport?
They're certainly annoying to get but not that hard if you're a US citizen.

Sounds interesting and more since it's a free flight.

I've never thought about going to Japan, but I'm also not going to waste a chance to go elsewhere.

I've never traveled outside the US to the point where I've needed one. I did go on a cruise to Jamaica, Mexico, and a couple other nations in the Caribbean, but I didn't need a passport for that, for some reason.

Free flights are interesting. But I don't know why would I go to Japan, and I'm not traveling type too.

It takes a little while to get it, but it's nice to have one.
And it's good for when you get pulled over for snorting coke off a 17 y/o's butt and get your license revoked, because it's photo ID.

My flight got cancelled due to the earthquake/tsunami and my friends' parents forced them to go back home. :B

Yen is too high for my taste right now. I'm holding back ordering goods. It's getting a little better.... 1 CAD = 76 JPY right now. it was 1 CAD = 79 JPY when I went there last year.

I would totally do this if I could afford to waste loads of money in Japan. Yes free airfare cuts down on the cost a lot, but there's still so much to pay for.
