Weird rumor: Shielding Wards destroying equips
#21
XxSilencer Wrote:Uh I'm sure that the items blowing up are due to having the WS's in your inventory. If you watch the video very carefully the second that she clicks no to use the WS just before she clicks on yes to use the Ward the item blew up. The Glove blew up before she even touched anything about using the Ward.

And yet no scroll was ever used, so there's definitely something up with the WS+Shield combo.

Most likely. Has anyone tried the Shielding Ward + Pam's song combo?

This didn't happen last time they were released did it? Quite an astounding mess Nexon have somehow made out of something that worked properly on first release.

That'd be a $20 test. I doubt it however. Pam's Song doesn't function like a WS.

This is proof of WS+Shielding Ward=possible boom.

I perfected my EStaff 5 with wards..no boom at all. Had no WS in inventory at all times. Seems it booms with WS present unless there's proof of no ws and ward booming an item.

Last time Wards were here I had some WS in my inventory when I was Enhancing my Staff and I clicked no each time and nothing happened to my Staff.

Yeah, that was last Shielding Wards event. Iono how Nexon screws up the 2nd time.

The video is 2 months old, so the glitch must have been present last time too.

On the first day of Wards discount, I scrolled my shoulders with WS in my inventory and it did not blow up upon selecting "No" to using the WS.
I suspected that this started happening after the SC, but that video proof was taken in July.

ok, i got in contact with a "someone" for "certain reasons", he told me that he figured out what causes the wards to blow stuff up, it's their location in respect to other scrolls.

he told me that if you have, say, a 20% scroll in the first use slot, and the ward you are going to use is ALSO in the first cash slot, there's a chance it will blow up (or use the effect of the scroll as success) i came back to see the video, and if you check, what he said and what happened in the vid DO match.

not going to call it conclusive evidence, but it might very well be, he said he has blown 3 items thanks to this glitch.

I just re-watched the video. The "Dark Scroll" that's in the same location as the Ward actually DOES go down from 8 to 7! I think we're on to something here thanks to your "someone".

well, he gets around. he also said that he got a chaos effect from a ward, so i guess the "glitch" is the ward taking the effect of the item in the use slot it is located.

It still uses the scroll, so you can't exactly cheat the system Hurt

It uses the scroll but doesn't use a slot...

Do we know that for sure though? That would be majorly exploitable lol
All the posts I've read were horror stories of people blowing up items due to this glitch.

from what i heard, both from the "guy" and another person in basil who got lucky with the ward, it seems to use the slot. i'll need to go check his post again, brb (i'm still around 80~90% sure it uses it tho)
