Your opinion of duped EE-hacked weapons?

Following a discussion with an in-game buddy, I'm curious to know the general feeling about these items.

So, if you were offered an ee-hacked item (such as the infamous 301-att claw or 596-att sword) at a very low price or for free, what would you do?


P.S. I'm aware Southperry isn't exactly representative of the mapling community at large. Feel free to duplicate this poll on Basil or Sleepywood, if you want. I don't go there.

The fact that any of these items are still in the game after all this time is appalling.

I'd throw a regular EE scroll on it and destroy it.

... I'd buy it, maybe. Keep it as a secret, put it somewhere where I don't touch it. Putting a Year-tradelock on it.
Basicly, buying it, hiding it.

If reasonably affordable, I'd boom it (after having some fun with it, but just between you and me), otherwise, I'd just pass.

I'm not going to pretend there exists any shame in using a duped/EE-hacked weapon, it seems there are a lot of them out there. Personally, I don't have any. But I would if I could.

In this age of maple where players (even some well known sp users) use bots to get to 200 in like a month while farming massive amounts of meso/items, people don't mind hacked items/hackers at all anymore so why not?

I would prefer to use weapons/gear that I earned, so I'd pass.

i'd take it, and then wouldn't use it, maybe fool around once or twice, but not going to resell it or anything.

Although, admittedly, an EE hacked level 0 sword would be hilarious.

I'd report the person offering it to me.

I know in Broa there's a 5xx Attack Blood Dagger somewhere and if I got my hands on it, I would probably use it. In secrecy though, I would not go around in front of people going, "l0l! Look at mah damagzzz!"

In this age of party training, it's not like you can hide your damage.
I remember training at LHC and people stopping by and commenting on my damage all the time (usually to inform me I was noob).
I suppose you could only use it to solo bosses, though.

truth about maple:

if you do low dmg = noob
if you do high dmg = you have hacked equips.

so whatever, i would use them.

I'd use it. It's come to the point in the game's life where it doesn't even matter anymore.

Three scenarios:

1: Use it, but only during boss runs with guildies or volunteer runs with randoms, in which the only purpose of the run is to get helms and skillbooks for them. Never use it for soloing or runs where I'd profit in any way.
2: Destroy it somehow.
3: Trade it for a legit weapon.

Destroy it.

I have stopped training for now. Not worth it to train when hackers will beat me in it anyways (and "wnb legit" people who abuse glitched spawn in LHC 24/7 or are leeching a hacking bot).
