I like to think of it as 10k maple points for playing the game.

I know you can just log on and do absolutely nothing, but in the eyes of the creator, it was expected that you'd be on and actually be playing =S

I stayed logon for an hour and I didn’t see any messages what so ever.

Unfortunately there is no record you can see. Unlike previous attendance events where Cody or Cassandra or Gaga would stamp your attendance sheet or something, this time you have to trust Nexon's internal recordkeeping

To know whether you've been on for an hour, you have some clues:
- Willpower, if you char is over 30. Your willpower for the day starts at 0, after an hour you get 2 points.
- Guild contribution, if you char is guilded. If the message is lost in chat spam you won't know, though, unless you make note of your contribution when you logged in and see that it's increased. (To my mind, if you're going to be writing things down, might as well write down the time you logged in...)

Don't rely on the "you've been playing maple an hour" message. They count the time since you activated the client, not the time since log in.
