Hmm how come the potential stats of Monster book arnt upgrading when your book lvls

According to this chart. The lvl of the book is suppose to upgrade the stats you get from the set.

How come mine is lvl 6 with +6 all stat yet i am still getting lvl 1 of the set bonus?

You have to double click on the set you want. Sets don't change automatically. You only get a "set" applied automatically when you get your first set. Such as Victoria Friends Set.

he means that his monster book is level 6, but instead of giving him the level 6 bonus (30 hp) it gives him the level 1 bonus (5 hp)

When I logged on today..noticed I had the level 1 bonus(1 all stats) instead of the +3 all stats which is level 3. All I did to fix it was change sets then put the set I was on previously and my codex went to level 3 again. Try it and tell me if it works:o

The method above may work, but you have a different problem then me. Yours deals with the potential stats while mien does not, may be a way to fix it though :o

Because this content was originally from JMS, and GMS only copy/pasted the data from JMS. And in JMS, the books are glitched and don't level up for some unknown reason, even though the data is in the .wz files. <3 my spreadsheet.

Yea white got what i meant. oh well so i guess were stuck with lvl 1 book then for the set bonus potential. if that is the case which is better? 2% attack from the dead mine set or 1% all stat and 15% ignore def? i already have 32% total from weapons and ambition. Is the 15%> 2% att?

I think 15% > 2% atk. Not sure though.

Probably because the level of the codex never actually changes, only its stats.

Assuming the 15% is completely applicable (ie. you don't already have above 85% ignore def) you'll get a better than 2% damage increase on mobs with 15% ignore pdr. Lots of regular mobs have 5%/10% and on those the 2% atk is very slightly better (on its own - just pick something with 15%ignore pdr + something else useful and you're good to go)

For some reason, the set level isn't leveling up in accordance to how many points you have. The MB level is working properly... the set level isn't.

yea that is what I am talking about. People need to send tickets about this otherwise this will be left unknown to Nexon. these bonuses should lvl up as well.

It's glitched in jMS too so don't expect it to be fixed any time soon.

It could be that they were going to have it be like that initially, but eventually decided against it.

I believe so. I got my stat increase increments based on the info provided in the extractions Fiel did on JMS when they got the books. If it wasn't intended, why was it incorporated into the data?

Nexon has never, ever, removed things from the WZ files, they've just stopped using them. Every monster still has DEF and MDEF values, which I think were updated with Big Bang, but they are no longer used. Having a presence in the WZ files doesn't necessarily mean that they're meant to be used.

The difference being that at one time WDEF and MDEF were used in the game. However this level up system for the monster book has never been used so what would be in point in even making it in the first place?

Well okay until they fix this glitch if they ever fix it what set is still better for me to use? Should I use the 1% all stats and 15% ignore or the 2% att? Should i use the ignore def when bossing and switch to 2% att bonus when grinding or idk. Please help explain to me which is better suited for me to use. I am still unclear about this. Thanks.
