Koolk was arrested!!

i realy feel bad for koolk, losing one of the best developers and sources will be a massive blow to the p server community. but if you think about it nexon may drop the odin suite and go after koolk full force

While I am very upset over losing such a cool and helpful guy, he shouldn't have been doing the things he has been. :/ Nexon is serious about this. People need to stop hacking and messing with their crap. How is it worth it?

Sad news, indeed. However, this really needs to be taken as a warning. It's not the first time it's happened.

This isn't exactly shocking to me, but it is indeed something to think about. I'm sorry to hear about the losses Koolk might have to endure due to lawsuits or whatnot, but I'm not exactly caring about private servers for my own reasons.

I thought you violated the terms of use if you tried to use their code for profit, like asking for donations and such. Did he do that? How much does it cost to run a private server anyways?

He had a public SVN. He did not run a server himself, though.

In addition, they are misappropriating Nexon’s intellectual property for their own commercial gain.

I hereby state that Nexon America Inc. is the owner of copyright in the images attached hereto and that to the best of my knowledge and belief, the infringing use was not authorized by it, its agents or the law.
