[Server Maintenance] MapleStory 10/9

There are a crap load of glitches so I'm not surprised to see a 6 hour server check. They are probably going to fix that stupid FM glitch/hack that I keep hearing about.

The banner doesn't ensure that pirates comes out sooner. For one, no matter when it starts, the event will not end until at least Halloween, and I'd rather have the event sooner rather than later. (If not, at least Singapore) Also, pirates are not confirmed to be in November. It could be January, or even next summer before they come out.

Except for the November ad that says "newest class"? They can't very well advertise that for november if they don't plan on releasing it until Summer.

Nexon should hire a like a linguist or something solely for posting up these notices... it seems like EVERY time there's a patch or server check, there's always something wrong with the notice. Anyone bored enough to count their streak of inaccurate notices so far?

It would probably be easier to count the number of accurate ones and subtract it from the total (conveniently located in the URL bar?) :p

Surprise Patch?

Maple has been having a lot of problems recently...I hope it gets sorted soon.

You guys think too much about what this "SC" could be. Realize that maple leaves are still dropping along with the notebooks. Also realize that when you log in the character rankings are still broken and say your Unranked.

It's probably just gonna remove these things and add the halloween stuff maybe but like what isaac said it seems to early for halloween.

Right now, I'm kinda hoping the Server Check gets extended for... until I get back from school, so about 9 hours and gets turned into a surprise patch.

Then Nexon comes out from behind some couch somewhere and yells, "Surprise! It's Pirates!", balloons drop, there's a cake being cut with a hook by some guy wearing an eye-patch, winks toward space and the sun smiles.

A patch on my birthday, I wonder what Nexon is giving me for my birthday ... I kinda am thinking disappointment is their present to me -_-. Who knows though, it could be something good.

And then you turn on the computer, open Maplestory, create a new character, and suddenly Nexon comes out from behind the couch and goes "Haha, you fell for our trick!", kicks you in the shin, and runs away.

why does everyone think that the halloween event won't start until like the 20th? That's not very much time for this whole event that's supposed to be so great.

I know everyone is on the whole "pirates" thing right at the moment, but does anyone know how much of the data needed for the monster book is in the client right now? And how much of that is translated?

UI updates and the like tend to be overlooked, and I'm hopeful that it could also be included in a patch some time soon.

0% translated, but the UI is already there. The cards i'm not sure off hand.

Wow. I am extremely pissed at Nexon right now. They need to learn how to run their frickin' game. They said at TWO different times that the "patch" was starting at 10 PM PST tonight. I was half way done with a Bigfoot, and they kick us all off just now to start.

What. The. Heck.

DON'T TELL US A FALSE TIME AND THEN KICK US OFF AT SOME RANDOM TIME. It's 9:20 PM PST, IF YOU SOMEHOW MISSED THAT, NEXON. Frickin' idiots. Horrible, horrible customer service.
