after BB, im too busy doing all my quests again, didnt try any boss yet,

i've only been to pap but it takes literally seconds to kill now so it's no fun. just wish i could zak/ht with no problems on windows 7.

Like someone has already experienced in this thread, i died in henesys demons door and got sent to Henesys Hunting Ground 3. On enterance to Henesys, i dced and now can no longer access my archer without dcing.

To follow this up, i logged back in and got put in 'Spinels Forest' and then she teled me back to port road.

I guess that map was planned for any warping to old map problems.

To above: That's a loading fail. You need to reset the game to fix it. It happens often on Windows Vista and 7.

If I can just say, it sucks to play maple if you're colorblind now. I can't really see the health bar against the dark background (the old one turned white when you were damaged), so I've been having to spam health pots just to be sure I have health. It hasn't been working out.

I tested it, if you get dispelled beholder stays, but the buff icon disappears. Your mastery from beholder also goes away.

It seems that Nexon America did something to the client that Windows 7 highly disagrees with. The crashes that we're experiencing isn't the client itself crashing, but Windows itself is closing the client down which could be seen in Windows' Event Viewer ("ApplicationExperienceInfrastructure: The application (Maple story, from vendor Wizet) has the following problem: Maple story is incompatible with this version of Windows.") which would explain why Nexon's eTracer isn't popping up. This happened seldomly after Nexon's "compatibility patch," but it only worsened after the Big Bang patch.

This type of closure happened to me 50 times between 11/23 and 12/7 and 49 times between 12/7 and now.

I believe it's graphical related, which you can see if you go to a crowded or active map (like the FM or Gallos). The longer you stay in those maps, the more likely your menus will start acting glitchy and even more so Windows forcefully closing the client when you try to change your graphics or change channels.

From what I've heard, it's due to how Maplestory handles Graphical Memory. It was written for the Legacy build style for Windows (XP and I believe earlier), and this was changed with Vista and 7. Due to this, the weird way Graphical Memory is handled with Maplestory confuses the hell out of the new Windows OS systems, and often leads to lost/misread information, leading to those problems.

Basically a complete rewrite of the engine for Maplestory would be required to fix the issues. Something like that WOULD have been done in an update like BB, but since they didn't fix it, don't expect a fix...ever.

The best workaround for this, if you're encountering an unbareable amount of issues, is to set the Graphics on Lowest. Yeah, it makes it ugly as hell, but meanwhile it eliminates the majority of issues.

I'm right there with you. It sucks but there's nothing we can do about it..
I've attempted to solo Zak several times since Nexon did their "compatibility patch" thing and made it to the 3rd body but haven't managed to get through more than half of it without it crashing. It's disappointing..

I heard Squids and Gobies sucks. I tried to train on Newts, failed miserably. I can't even land 6 hits in a row with TT+SP. wtp. I have no clue where to train, if I were to start playing again... I also love Squids to death, but I heard they butchered the sh`it out of Squids. Because had they raise the EXP there, I'd probably train there for life, or at least til 160+.

Was just about to post this! It really go like this:

Go to FM at Magatia. Go out of FM and you end up in ariant. Go in FM at ariant and then out, you end up to NLC. It's sad and funny as hell at the same time
