30% off AP Resets. IT'S LIKE THEY READ OUR MINDS.

Yay, AP resets. Too bad I'm too lazy AND busy to level so I can actually use them. I even got some free ones from the log off event.

Pam's Songs and Hammers? BRB selling vastly inflated Pink Scrolls.

Too bad I have literally no money to my name, otherwise I'd get some cards and get my bandit to 70 over the weekend.

Judging by the original Black Friday post, and the last part they added on in big red letters that reads :
"Be sure to check the website on November 25th to find out what time the floodgates of Black Friday Sale 2010 open!"
I have a feeling they will be limited.

It would be pretty scummy to make people pay for the availability of certain prizes and then set them at a limited quantity. I think everything that has been unlocked will be unlimited stock, but I don't think they'll be available for a full 24 hours.

30% isnt enough off, should be 70% at least.

Remember, these aren't the only items on sale during Black Friday. I think they'll make those unlimited and the milestones limited. Though I hope I'm wrong. Guess it don't matter either way since I won't be taking part in it anyway.

Here's another reason I think the unlocked prizes will be unlimited:

In the past they've never, ever told us what will be available. Yes, Cyanne has deduced it, but they never advertised specific items. They wouldn't have done that this time if they weren't looking to maximize profits (which means getting people to buy as much NX as possible (which means making these unlimited))

The 30% off on the x2 exp card could be a hint as possible "Unlimited" stature, unless they set it up to where the card comes into play the second the x2 event starts...

Regardless, 30% off AP resets is still -930 from 3100, which means 2170 per Reset. I just hope they have the Bundles at a cheaper price and as a separate stock, otherwise I'm in trouble come Friday lol

Logical fallacy detected.
In order to get people to buy as much NX as possible, it is sufficient to advertise that these items will be on sale. People purchase NX in order to prepare to buy them.
If then the quantities are limited and the people unable to spend that NX as they intended - doesn't matter, the $$$ are already in Nexon's pockets.

Nexon creates artificial scarcity with limited item sales. The marginal cost of a 2x card is next to nothing (on the order of 1/10th of 1 cent, if that). The marginal revenue increases (? - not sure) with artificial scarcity because those who are not able to buy the discounted items are then forced to spend it elsewhere in the cash shop due to how asset exchange transactions work for converting dollars to NX Cash. I wish they would state what the limitation is so people can further be prepared for how much competition there will be for a product. Or at least they could implement per-account limitations (1 per account) so that each person can at least get one. By the time a person attempts to relog, chances are that all items will be gone by then. This stops people from hoarding a massive load and spreads the sale benefit on as many users as possible.

I'll be upset if it's limited quantity considering I MTS merch'd over 112k NX from buying work gloves and selling them constantly over and over and the free maple points just to have cheaper cubes. I guess if they do limit the sales of it then I'll have to buy cubes at a regular price, although that'd be disappointing.

Problem is that they'd be capping their income. All of these (with the exception of SP resets) are highly desired items. Right now, and typically each black friday the way they've played it is by hyping it up but keeping it mysterious so people buy beforehand and typically don't get what they want but end up wasting the NX instead of saving it until later. And that works to an extent.

What they have here is an opportunity to not only rake in pre-sale income but, by keeping all items available for an extended period with no limitations and now credit cards being accepted, is hype and impulse buying. Lots of it, especially given that Pam's Song can be used in conjunction with hammers and existing pink scrolls, and people are then going to want to cube their new awesome equipment. What's even better for them now is that given the restructuring, most current scrolls are useless so it will all mean almost nothing in 5 more months. A lot of people aren't buying 2x cards right now because of Big Bang but are more likely to if they can get them cheap. People will buy SP resets out of fear just in case their points won't be reset. Keeping these sales open for ~6 hours would be nothing but a huge win for them.

I just created this to back up my point a little. I'm looking at this from the perspective of a company seeking profits, so I wasn't really great about finding cons but I think it's also because they don't exist.

Universal pro: lower prices incite more buying
Universal pro: unlimited stock

Miracle Cubes

Pros:
Near infinite need
Rarely give good stats
Decent skills

Cons:
Once you're done cubing, given the current game status, you're done for good. Still hardly a con because it takes so long to get good stats.

Pam's Song

Pros:
The best scrolls only have a 70% chance of working leaving lots of opportunities for failure and more need for Pam's Song
5 - 10 slots per equip
Near infinite need

Cons:
I can't think of any

Perm Baby Tiger

Pros:
Creates a circle of having to buy new additions every 3 months, would make players feel more obligated to do so since it will be wandering around uselessly behind them

Cons:
Could hurt pet sales in the future

Gachpon Tickets:

Pros:
Low chances of getting anything good
Good items are really good

Cons:
Horrible for the economy if left available too long.

Silver Meso Sacks

Pros:
Random chance at decent numbers is provocative

Cons:
Destroys economy

SP Resets

Pros:
Free money from FUD

Cons:
Makes them look bad for profitting off FUD

AP Resets:

Pros:
HP Washers are insane about these things
A huge need for them for several jobs, and a huge want for others
New characters that miss this sale will still need them

Cons:
Once a character is done, they're done for good

2x exp coupon:

Pros:
Gets people buying them again even when they don't feel like training is necessary

Cons:
Not a huge need for them
Not many good reasons to buy them

Vicious Hammer

Pros:
Who doesn't want two more slots per equip?
Equipment is ever changing meaning this won't hurt sales as long as they bring something better out quickly

Cons:
Finite need.

6 hours of infinite stock, watching people smega their new amazing and "cheap" equipment throughout the day just creates advertising for them and more reasons for people to go charge some NX. They could rake in tens of thousands easily from this event by leaving it open. And at this point in the game, with all of the changes coming, it would hardly effect it. Win win for them
