I really don't have any problems using Windows 7... but then again, I don't boss and it seems a majority of the problems happen when people try to boss. Either way... A client with 2 resolutions (after big bang) and one that works with modern windows OS's? I think Maple is well on it's way to being a modern game

I've been using Vista ._. and I haven't had any "Major" Probs...
(side track: I like the new Res Size coming in "B.Bang" =D )

My drk unbanned, compatibility with windows 7, New resolution and all the new Bigbang skills, the only bad thing here is the boss nerf

Oh boy, if this works I can finaly bring my wife with me for Zakum and such. Soloing is boring. Also this will help the guild to actually do bosses without half of us dcing and not logging on again out of rage. Thumbs up for Nexon if this is not just some quick fix that'll turn out to open doors to bugs and exploits.

I'm wondering why they did this ' Scheduled Game Update" 24 hours before the usual weekly "Scheduled Server Maintenance"...there will probably be the weekly SC 15 hours after this finishes.

Cynical/Experienced guess: they fixed one line of code, or one compilation flag.
Typical scenario:
Programmer: Look at this!
Team Leader: Yes?
Programmer: Notice anything wrong?
Team Leader: hmm... well... I'm not that familiar with this particular package...
Programmer: This line, here.
Team Leader: Well?
Programmer: It says "sizeof(classA)"... but I think it should be "sizeof(classB)"... someone copy-pasted but didn't search-and-replace completely...
Team Leader: Oh. Right. Wait... so how come it works?
Programmer: Well... sometime it works... and sometimes it causes a crash somewhere down the line... I think.
Team Leader: I see. Change it, let's see what happens.
If we are lucky, they actually ran this changed version through some sanity checks on both XP and Vista/Win7. If not...

Hmmmmm. I just noticed and it said "improve." I'm bad at computers, but, there is no way to "improve" the compatibility without fixing it 100% right? For example, they won't make random crashes stop, but still let W7 users dc at boss runs, right?

^ Double-negative?
I still wouldn't get my hopes up until I see this for myself. Too many empty promises will do that.

By saying improve instead of fix they guard their arses from crap if the fix aint totally succesfull. Might fix bossing, but not keyboard glitches and such.

They have never promised to fix the issue before though. I have some hopes left, and I can not remember where they down right broke a promise before. I suppose the open letters about hackers and such can be viewed as such breaches but that's not really the same thing.

If your account is newer than a certain date it falls under the America IP (and some countries not considered to have a local MS version) only rule and you cannot use it outside of there. Much like I cannot log onto a new account made since then from Sweden, but my old accounts work just fine.

Eh, not exactly empty promises (poor choice of words on my part) but moreso them trying to fix things and it not exactly working out the way they should (such as exploit fixes). Though that isn't quite the same thing as this, so I guess there IS hope... but will this really fix the crashing issues with bosses? That's my main concern and I'm not bringing my hopes up until I can successfully go to HT, have an alliance Zak run or duo with my boyfriend again. :\

I hope XP doesn't magically get screwed up in the process of fixing other OS compatibility. Good luck guys.

This is absoultely something that will happen. I have seen a hundred issues blamed on the compatibility issue these last months that really point more back at users net or computer.
EDIT: Nexo Wrote:** Update! ** The game update is now complete at 7:00 AM Pacific on November 23rd (10:00 AM Eastern on November 23rd) and all game services are now live. Thank you for your patience.
