Hour requirement in the past few weeks is meh, I've been waiting for the BB, so I haven't been playing, doesn't mean I don't know a lot about it.
To at least have logged on this month is a reasonable requirement.

Scan MS forums for competent players and add them. That's all I can see myself doing.

DustBunny Wrote:Considering how worthless quests actually are, and how much importance they have to the game, I don't think it should be a requirement.
Well, that doesn't change the fact that a fair amount of content needing tested comes from said quests. In the process of doing quests, you can also run into a number of bugs.

Thanks and all, but that thread's been inactive and dead for a while now. I for one have added at least 100 to my quest specialist title since then, and I haven't done everything lately so I know I've fallen behind.
DustBunny Wrote:The type of players they have been picking are probably unaware/to afraid to play a private server.
I don't think this is as big of a deal as people think. I admitted to having used an RO private server prior to coming to MS when I applied to the Maple Leaf Brigade and I still made it to the next step.
The thing with criteria is that there will always be exceptions. We may all have opinions on the matter, but we are all biased towards things that we can fit into so we often deny certain aspects of automation. I for one, don't understand the whole 140,150+ comments since far more content is available in lower levels; several that are level limited and that those who are higher never experienced including myself. However, again, that is biased since I never trained with 4th job Mages and don't have the damage to pin yet and lost motivation for my solo training long ago (leveled 3 times in the past year, and 5 in the year before that I think). Some criteria make sense, and others we just want to deny for convenience.

Everyone who replied to this thread would be the only ones getting in Tespia in my book.

I don't think there is a failproof way to pick the people for Tespia. And even if we managed to find one Nexon wouldn't use is anyway. Checking forums would probably be the best way but it would take really long.

Big one is... ban people who don't contribute to tespia constructively, really.
If someone gets in Round 1 Tespia, and uses a bunch of Smegas and never submits a bug report - don't let them in next time.

Random suggestion: I think they should open Tespia for 24 hours(or maybe shorter. 12 hours? 6?), available to everyone. Nexon should purposely make a glitch(an OBVIOUS one) or whatever, testing players to see if they would actually report. All who do not report it should be expelled for "real" Tespias in the future.
And, well, if there are still too many testers, perhaps they should continue making mini tespias and making more glitches less and less obvious so the more observant ones get accepted?

Hell why future tespia's? Just hold it up for a week and if they didn't report it they lose the opportunity. In fact, the first 3 days if a player does not report it, then they shouldn't participant in the present or future.

Yeah the extremely high level caps people have set (like 120+) is not necissary in my opinion. Just because somebody is a high level doesn't mean they will be a mature tester, and other way around. I do agree though that if you invite a bunch of level 20s then your obviously not going to get good testers, but 120+ is a bit extreme. Also the however many hours in a day? That's just ridiculous. ;-;'
I'd pick Tespia participants by..
*Level 60 and higher
*Must have logged on once (or more) a week for the past 2months.
*No history of ban or anything of the sort
I wish I could say be over the age of 15 but there is a bunch of 8 year olds with fake 20 year old accounts so, whatever I s'pose.

Waste resources to create a Tespia Tespia? Their method has been working fine, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

My wording is probably bad. In short:
-Fake (but still have some content for the patch), but short Tespia. Used to test players' reporting.
-If players pass the test, they will have access to the "full" tespia.

Sorry for taking the 2nd line of the OP seriously.

I agree with the unecessary high level requirement part. If anything, having a high level requirement might probably result in an even worse testing group, especially if it results in the majority of the population coming into Tespia ends up being something like pure leechers. However, these exact restrictions might result in a bit too many people crowding into Tespia regardless. I'd make Quest Specialist a requirement.
...Although having Quest Specialist might be a bit harsh, so I'd put it at least 450-500 quests towards the Quest Specialist medal. It'd be low enough to include the people that don't have the time to seriously chase after Quest Specialist but still showing interest in questing and exploring, while being high enough to exclude people who don't do anything beyond pure level grinding/merchanting/leeching. (How many Quest Specialists are there across all servers? I'd guess a couple thousand at the most.)

Therefore not doing a lot of quests/not giving a pineapple about medals=you're inexperienced at finding bugs/glitches?

It means you're not poking around, getting in the details where bugs/glitches tend to pop up.

I'm sorry but if you're below 120 how would you even know what important glitches to look for in terms of the larger amount of gameplay. The level requirement is fair because it comes with experience. Quests are pretty irrelevent and can be fixed easily, glitches unreported could take up to half a year to even be looked at..
