You should put it in as a second option, so people can choose. Well, they can choose anyway but whatever. Offtopic: I wanna solo Pap

Alright, I changed the build to get MW9 early. I also added in a new 4th job training spot: Crimson Guardians. Captains should be able to train here easily with Fake Shot.

Would adding a point into Dash at the advancement be fine? I'm thinking of doing that because I only need to kill a monster to level again and add 3 Double Fire.
Also, would you happen to know the stats/equips of that godly Valkyrie in the screenshot section?

I think I'll leave Cooling at 25, Gaviota at 16, and max Fire Burner. I have max Inferno on my BM, and I use it often. Fire Burner will probably be even more useful, because Blue Kents and Wyverns will be better training due to better mobility.

It won't hurt to add a point into Dash early on if you're funded, but it won't really help much either. Having a bit more damage from Double Fire would be more beneficial in my opinion.
And here's BaSely's stats and gun at level 103..

Valkyries aren't really meant to train on ice-resistant monsters. If you train there, you'll be limited to either not using summons or getting hit all the time and using a ton of HP pots. Both of your third job summons will remove the stun left by Fake Shot, so the only way to incapacitate the monster is with Cooling Effect. If you train somewhere where you can't use CE, your options will be limited.

^ To be honest, I'm more amazed at how much HP he has o_o
I always thought that Gunslingers have about the same HP as Sins/Archers, yet most Archers don't even hit 3k hp until 12x.

All builds I posted can be altered to your liking. However, I still think Fire Burner is useless. By the time you actually max Fire Burner, I'm sure there are better training options. Plus, Battleship Torpedo outdamages it eventually. I just don't think Fire Burner is worth giving up precious USE slots for Blaze Capsules.

Yeah, haha, I never understood why people say Gunslingers have the same HP as archers. Even at level 93 I have 2647 HP.. It's always been at least 200-300 HP higher than an average archer of the same level.

Wow that's good to know. Many Archers/Thieves would kill for 200-300 extra hp.

That explains that captain at time temple vid you just put up too. He was taking hits that looked somewhat mismatched for his level. I couldn't tell if it was the battleship that was making him survive or if he was extremely HP washed.

The HP gain is the same, I think, but they get more HP on job advancement.

I won't have that, but I think some creative usage of slow falling would make things work. According to some of the other posts, Fire Burner has no minimum range. That in itself looks like reason to stick a bunch of points in there.
You're talking to someone who loves alternative builds; someone who maxed Inferno as his first Ranger skill. I'll find a way.

Cooling Effect also has no minimum range, but you're opting to take points out of it.
Alternative builds are fine and all, but that's if there's an actual reason behind them.. Doing something different just to be different when it really doesn't help in any situation at all doesn't make any sense. It's your character, of course, and you can do whatever you want, I just don't understand your reasoning for it lol.

Well, it's a damage skill. It looks pretty damn powerful. Also, you cite some Rangers leaving Inferno at 16 but you don't recognize that nearly ALL Snipers leave Blizzard at 21. Cooling effect does low damage; even less than Blizzard. Its purpose is to freeze. That's why I'd leave it at 25.
Edit: Also, looking at that one vid where Fire Burner is actually displayed, it looks like it's doing more than Triple Fire on each target o_o

Would you happen to know the ATT on his WG, if any? Hopefully guns will be cheap, cause everyone will bandwagon infighters.

I'm an advocate for the burner build myself. (check out basil sometime)
Sadly, i've studied that video you're talking about and there's two conclusions i've come to.
1) We don't know his level, stat build, damage range, or skill build.
2) He's obviously 4th job, meaning amplification is available to him. By his freezing time, i think he has a decent level amp meaning his burner damage is a lot higher than it's base att.

You are/were Crimsonmyst on SW, right? Never realized till now.
Anyway, comparing Strafe:Inferno::Triple:Burner--
Strafe: 560%
Inferno: 190% x6
Triple: 630%
Burner: 160% x6 + DoT
Just looking at that, if you disregard the burn effect, Burner-compared-to-Triple is weaker than Inferno-compared-to-Strafe by a significant amount.
However, Burner + [spacefiller] is fast, faster than Triple + Triple. It also has full element attribute at all levels, making it more plausible to train like a WK, and it has NMR, which is big. A downside is that unlike Inferno, it has fixed range, and a fairly short fixed range at that.
Anyone have an estimate as to how much damage burn does?

It doesn't look like much (saw 300ish on Kents per second), but probably brings the damage close to Inferno's strength. I like the full elemental attribute, it makes the damage 50% greater rather than 25% greater, meaning it's more useful to train on Fire-weaks with. A downside is I won't be able to mob Gobies with it, but Valkyries have plenty of other mob skills for that.
I'm definitely not going to overlook this skill. Reexamining the available mob skills, I've realized that Burner does way more damage than any other mob skill Valkyries have, especially on Fire-weaks. It's not like Rangers, who can opt out of Inferno because Arrow Rain is sufficient for mage-style training in many places.

New videos.
Level 67 Gunslinger at Showa Street 3 (Gunboss) (Notable Skills: Double Fire, Backstep Shot, Invisible Shot)
Level 71 Valkyrie at the map before Anego (Notable Skills: Triple Fire, Invisible Shot, Backstep Shot)
Level 76 Valkyrie at Squids (Notable Skills: Triple Fire, Invisible Shot, Fake Shot)
All by the same person. She seems really strong for her level, quite possibly the strongest Gunslinger/Valkyrie I've seen. I think it's JMS though so it could be those 20 ATK pots (if they still have them).
