Bellocan's First Legit Level 43 Islander

I also believe I'm the highest islander overall in Bellocan. I know there was a level 43 hacker (either SARIAK or SARlAK) but I can't find either of them on rankings anymore. So...yay.

Wouldn't be complete without damage:

53 Attack White Rose

Pretty sure I'm the only islander to hit 600 in Bellocan unless someone did it in May with the buff. If they did, then first nonbuffed 600.

62 Attack Soul Singer

Just curious, which class typically has more melee damage, an archer or a beginner? I think my damage with a white rose is a lot higher than that, but then again I'm way higher levelled. Congratulations on 43!

The damage formula depends on the weapon in your hand, I believe. Damage per WA is proportionate to your main damage stat though. <-- Could be wrong but I think that's how it went. An archer would definitely have a lot more mastery, though (dex adding to it a lot & the skill mastery).

Infighter - I go to school, do homework, and watch TV a lot. The last 55% of that level was from Friday to today. I usually don't grind THAT much.

Once I had gotten enough strength to 1hko whatever the strongest island monster is, I'd crank the rest into dex to make it so that the minimum damage also always 1hkos...

Mostly the people that can 1HKO Orange Mushies are:

DEX islanders lvl 30-35+
Hybrids lvl 35-40+
STR islanders lvl 40-45+

@psycho/Blake: Oh yay, an excuse to go play with that damage calculator. First of all, those numbers are definitly true if an islander decides to use MTS. Getting a clean glowing whip puts Pure STR's with a minimum of 8x and I believe SnailEmperor got it to 10x. Atelucephira uses a red whip, although I guess his minimum is 8x as well.

For those that don't use MTS, here's what I got playing around with the calculator. Both DefendaNewb and missw3etooth added DEX to have a minimum of 8x. That's the top 4. :o

At level 48, with 251 STR and 9 DEX (total including equip bonuses) here's my range:

61 ~ 628

Assuming I somehow get a 65 attack soul singer, the earliest I could have a 80 minimum damage would be at 6x. Most likely won't happen unless I'm still grinding away about 4-5 years from now. XD

Anywho, here's my range with my 73 attack blue rose at level 48:

56 ~ 922

Now, make that a 75 attack and add another 3 DEX for landing another 10% on my gomus:

59 ~ 950

Going with the 75 attack blue rose, I could hit a range of this at level 51:

60 ~ 1004

Seeing 4 digits without MTS, buffs, iTCG, etc is my ultimate goal.

Hazzy made a comparison of STR islanders to DEX islanders as far as training. The difference is so minimal that it really isn't THAT much faster.

@Romance - I don't know how people can stand training characters at 100+. I can't stand training my crusader (going to try once again...sigh...) but yea. Although I have found that it helps to set goals while training. For example, these can be from passing another perma beginner on rankings to hitting a certain experience or % (last night I was at 7.0x and decided to get to 7.77 just for the heck of it ). It does help.

And then the occasional Nexon 2x event just makes grinding even more fun. <3

@Migrant - June of 2007 I believe. My sisters wanted to play MS at the time because I was into it a lot, and the one made an islander. She got to level 22. Anyways, she found a 10% shoe jump scroll. I offered a 35 attack leather purse/manbag to borrow if the scroll failed, or half my mesos if the scroll worked (I had 1.5m at the time and figured it wouldn't; also the only way I could get the scroll >_<). Anywho, I get it, use it on my 4 def 3 speed gomushins...and it works. Now, granted, just about everyone would pay 750k for a +1 4 slot gomushin like that, but talk about karma.

Also, in 43 levels of training on orange mushies(for the majority), I have not found a SINGLE 10% Shoes for Jump scroll. <_<

Speaking of scrolling...4/9 10% have worked on NoJobNoRules. I have a +3 3 slot Green Headband for the other 3 scrolls. So awesome.

Welll... Either you lied to me then or you're lying to me now, but when Migrant was on Bellocan you told me it was a 10% Shoe DEX scroll, and that it annoyed you having a useless but scrolled pair of Gomushins :S
