No, it's not the Funhouse, and no, it's not me who's having a birthday. Smile

However, apparently today (13 September 2010), 25 years ago, Super Mario Bros. was released in Japan. Mario's first console game ever (for home use) starring Mario himself!

So: Congrats Mario!!! Big Grin

I still remember playing Super Mario 1 on my NES, like 20 years ago, I was sooo exited by it, it was just amazing!!! Also, the Castles terrified me, that music was so Epic!!! Tongue

So, do you people remember playing your first Mario game ? Smile

after 25 years he has yet to unclog a single drain.
how is he still able to label himself as a plumber on his tax returns?

??? he has more dedication than any other plumber i've seen, using his entire body to clear pipes.

he is more a janitor, botanist, and exterminator than a plumber.
he is also a furry. Mario, man of many trades except plumber.

i think the first game i ever got was one for the old game boy. i distinctly remember having to fight in a level of a giant lego Astro Boy.

Happy birthday, Mario. You've given me some of the best games I've ever played, as well as some of the most fun and memorable moments in my entire life. I hope you never leave us. You're my bro, bro.

What are you all waiting for? Go grab your NES and play it! If you don't own it anymore, use an emulator and try to find a rom of the faster (therefore better) PAL version.

Some of you probably haven't beaten the game. Well, it's now or never.
