Program to back up programs?
#1
I'm looking for a program that can backup other currently installed programs into a zip file or something to be transferred onto an external hard drive.

My laptop has become corrupt, and the simplest solution seems to be reinstalling Windows 7. I can currently backup all of my music and files that matter, but I have a few essential programs that I don't want to go through the hassle of procuring again.

If anyone has heard of anything like this I would be very appreciative.

Thanks.

Edit: Is it possible to backup to a Windows XP from Windows 7? The 7 program is labeled "Easy Transfer" or something. I don't know if they are compatible.

Why not image your hard drive entirely? If this is not an option, you can see what Handy Backup (http://www.handybackup.net) is capable of. They have a lot of free plug-ins for backing up different software, you should see if the ones that you need are in the list. It also can back up Windows 7 registry.
