Very large cache in Maplestory folder
#1
I just noticed going through my hard drive that there's a 2 GB cache in my Maplestory folder containing lots and lots of gibberish.

What's worse is I noticed the words "Verisign" and "Thawte" at the bottom of some of the cache files along with the address of Nexon headquarters and bunch of error messages. I have the feeling this could be cache from encrypting your keys which could mean trouble, besides being as big as the game files themselves. Should I delete the files and/or report to Nexon? :f6:

I'd just delete it if I were you.

You can safely delete it. I am relatively sure that folder is created when you attempt to patch, but it doesn't finish patching for whatever reason.

Yea, there are a lot of files that are left over from patches and from HS/GG updates. You can delete them.

Verisign is the world's leading authentication service. Anything from Verisign is not bad. Thawte systems provides SSL security certificates as well.

Now stop worrying.
