Eh, what happend with xDae?

I like the points that xDae made and I'm disappointed that I missed out on this conversation. Social engineering is a remarkable tool: love Clinton, hate Bush, and vote for Obama; all for no apparent reason.

Clinton did many things wrong during his political administration besides just cheating on his wife with Monica Lewinski. He made underhanded payments to North Korea, roughly exceeding three million+ for "feeding starving children" but he knew full well they were not going to "starving children" and more towards "nuclear weapons." This was "hush money."

I dislike Bush because he employed several faulty political figures such as Michael Brown of FEMA. Michael Brown was a thundering moron who didn't do his job. He was a pencil pusher and instead of taking emergency phone calls from the disaster site, he was talking to his friends about what a "pain in the ass" it was after the conflict escalated. Several emergency calls remained unanswered.

Obama does not really have a substantial voting record. When he presided over the Senatorial Foreign Relations Committee in early 2007, Obama avoided many touchy subjects such as nuclear arms proliferation, NATO, missile defense, and counterterrorism. During this period, Obama focused more on "raising awareness for Darfur" and to "reduce global poverty" in a series of speeches.

In general IRC is tough to be responsible because of the irresponsible stimulus people have placed on it. We use Adium/XTMPP at my job which is a chat client similar to IRC and there is never spam/useless conversation since we are on work.

I think that xDae made several original points. So what if he doesn't agree with the majority of the world? We shouldn't condemn him for having original opinions. And I would feel frustrated as well if people did not give me a fair ball game to play.

xDae had opinions that did not follow social engineering. Statements like, "All men are pigs" are common by-words used by mistaken feminists who feel like the world is discriminating against them. In fact, these people only put feminists even more at a disadvantage as women only want "equal opportunity." Even though I think women have advantages in ways men do not and vice versa, abusing old cliched statements and promoting stereotypes only increases the discrimination between the two genders.

I have no idea why someone would want xDae's conversation to be put down and why they would want this thread closed. The main reason why we left Sleepywood was because of their massive slander campaigns and suddenly deleting forum posters off the face of the map. One of good points about South Perry is it's liberal warning system in which spammers have abused to post useless crap all over the place. Regardless, it's nice to post what you want to say without fearing authority.

Even though I think the last four forum sections: Rubik's, Pits, Funhouse, & Speakeasy are a piece of ----, people like xDae added a lot of foundation and provided some topics of interest during his time here. And if you do read this, I think this site needs you.

I'm sorry for the dissenting opinion. But unlike most people, I don't suck cock.

He acted like a jerk, but I don't like Mira either. She kind of goaded him on, and what was up with calling him an pimento right off the bat?

All his posts are now marked guests. Our first guest posts. T_T

That's bull ---- and everyone from Sleepywood knows that this is bull ----. Fiel got all his topics erased from Sleepywood and the majority of the community here migrated from Sleepywood to South Perry because they found Fiel to be extraordinarily helpful with his "unpackers" and "extractions." Wiping a person off a forum site is only something Adura would do. Now we have to suck plantain in order to be a member here? What bull----.

Why? You should be allowed to speak your opinion in any matter. Well, that's my opinion at least. Ban me if I'm not allowed to have that opinion, please.

Whereas I'm not that much into American politics, I'm aware of one difference between French and American people:
 • French people all know that their president has cheated on his wife, but doesn't talk about it at all. Never. Ever.
 • Americans on the other hand doesn't know that their president has cheated on his wife. And if they do, they tell the media to let everyone know that he cheated on his wife. (There are almost special reports on the TV when this is first known, man)

My personal opinion is that you vote for a president, not a pope.

Didn't xDae withdraw his account himself, though..?

They shouldn't have his posts replaced with "Guest" though :<

No one is coming out to explain the situation so I'm only assuming the worst as always.

If you read the last of the IRC post you'd see xDae quit on purpose =O.

In which case, it's still ridiculous how he was treated in the IRC and in this thread. He offered his opinions in why he supports McCain and opposes Obama in a way did not show any emotional or social reasoning, just fact (whether or not his facts were ill-informed, I do not know. I'm very uneducated about politics and I will in no way pretend otherwise.) Immediately following Dae saying Obama was inexperienced and that people's hatred towards Bush is blown out of porportion, he is called an pimento and hard to deal with. I'm sorry, but I didn't know differing opinions in a subject such as politics where there is so much diversity in opinions automatically tags you as an pimento. Personally I would have welcomed someone using somewhat-intelligent arguments against the candidate I was supporting to start a decent, factual debate. Mira does not offer any of his opinions on why he supports Obama before turning hostile. It's directly from "McCain sucks!" to "McCain = Bush!" to "Hillary is awesome!" to "Dae, you're a f'ucking pimento." Do I agree with quitting a forum because some most of the members are poorly educated pre-teens who attempt to run political debates purely from what they heard their parents say at dinner that night? No. I think both sides handled it with a lot of immaturity.

Maybe if he wasn't such a douche about voicing his opinion he'd be a good devil's advocate here. Oh well, Schro, you're the only one left. Eek

Edit: Although I have to agree, Mira wasn't very organized on his counters.

Just read it.

Have to say, I'd have to agree with xDae.

where does one find this tasty nugget of drama?

About Mira being a "jerk to him" it goes back way before this convo on IRC. He comes in there being a cocky pimento most of the time. People are allowed to have opinions. He told us he was quitting. So quit hating of people because he quit. He chose that himself no one else. Apparently, quitting was the coward way out.

And, I think that the people that DON'T go on IRC and haven't witnessed his convo's really don't know what's going on in there.

I'm just suggesting that to avert even MORE drama resulting from the drama.

And just because he's been "rude" in past doesn't mean he can start an intellectual political debate? I'd also have to question the forum's general consensus of the word "rude" if calling someone an pimento doesn't brand you as rude, but making factual observations does. Calling him a cocky pimento doesn't particularly do much to defend your case, on the account that Mira was narcissistic enough to parade his support for Obama as "common knowledge" and "the smart thing to do," completely dismissing all of Dae's points with hostile ad hominem arguments aside from facts. Perhaps this reason is why most people don't go in IRC. However, it's still irrelevant considering the entire IRC chat that led up to this incident was made public.

People have a right to know what's going on, instead of censoring it for the mass to come up with their own incorrect assumptions.

He didn't start it. We were in the middle of a convo before he came in.

If you also read in there Mira said Obama wasn't her favorite either. Perhaps you should read closer.

You weren't having a political debate before Dae's occupancy in the IRC chat. Mira just brought up a political commercial and voiced her distaste for it. Dae started the "debate" on the account that for one, you cannot have a political debate if no sides oppose each other, and that it's not really a debate if someone's just going "EWW MCCAIN! EWW BUSH!" without any reasoning.

If you also read my previous posts, I mentioned that I knew Mira said Hillary was her favorite. Perhaps you should read closer.

Actually, we were having a political debate before he arrived. Don't say we weren't when you weren't there.......

Same goes for me, it was only my opinion. And it's not like Fiel's going to do it anyway >_>
