[News] Tespia is coming!

Thanks, but well, after all my efforts to try to convince them on opening Tespia again, I'd have preferred being chosen on my main account rather than having to rely on someone else to play on Tespia (that means that I won't be able to play whenever I want and even less IF you won't be able to log in on both GMS and GMST at the same time with the same account, this time).

But yeah, I'm indeed REALLY lucky for having a friend who got selected with one of his mules AND trusts me enough to let me play (well, it's his PG mule so it's not like he cares about that one much), so I'm not complaining.

Though, it's really sad to see how lots of random mules were chosen but people who REALLY were willing to test weren't.. and thinking that Hime even said that the selections AREN'T random.. yeah, right.

Who wants to bet that at least 1/3 of the accounts which were chosen were of people who don't care about testing or unused accounts?

"Not Random" is not the same thing as "hand picked" and doesn't in any way imply a thoughtful selection process.
It just means there was a specific formula of criteria used to pick the accounts.

Technically yanking every account that ended in a prime number would be "not random" but still have no discernible value to the process.

Again, just because they brought Tespia back it doesn't have to mean that they will release something big.

I know this. I'm just saying, it seems odd that they would pull Tespia back out at such a weird time. I mean, they could easily just want Tespia back in general (and maybe to get it ready for Big Bang), but it stills leads me to believe it's for a bigger reason. I could be wrong, and most likely am, but I'd like to believe that they did this for Big Bang, and don't just shut Tespia down again. Anyway, I do agree that they made a good choice about bringing Tespia back in the first place. I hate logging on after a massive patch to see that it's not even ready to play yet. The most realistic thing they could be doing in my eyes, is bringing it back with the PQs, releasing those in August, and saving Tespia for the real reason they brought it back, Big Bang. Maybe that really isn't the most realistic, but it's what I'd like to believe!

God, I want Big Bang so bad.

They tend to look for criteria like

- has a level 50+ character
- has not shared the account
- regularly changes password

Stuff that marks you as a user that has been around for a little while and takes care of their account info. Unfortunately, I give out my mule account info to friends a lot, so I'm not surprised I wasn't picked.

I kinda have hope in Masteria coming around I really do.

Something as big as Big Bang would seriously need Tespia to get all the kinks out there would be massive bugs and SC for like 3 days straight if they just copied and pasted that...Though I don't think it's the only reason for Tespia.

It's like I said before, there have been people proving they got in even if they hadn't even logged in in almost a year. Lots of mules got in, and I wouldn't be surprised if many accounts that aren't even used anymore got invites.

If it is Masteria( which it probably isn't) I think the next thing we'd get would be Krakia. But then again in Masteria, there's also Versal, Vineland, Affluent Tower, and the Yetinx we need. And I don't know, but do you think ti'd even be remotely possible if we ever got Olde Sapp Village in Masteria to see what really happened before the continent disappeared?

Another friend of mine has already shared his account with me for Tespia before (if I don't mistake it was first round), and nothing has happened to either of us, so I doubt anything will this time.

You never know, though. It's kind of risky, and I'm not even sure I'll do it. I don't want to see my friend (or me) get banned after sharing his Tespia account with me.

Again, we don't 100% know what Tespia is for since the server isn't open yet. Does the recent calendar image point towards a huge possibility? Definitely. But I can easily think of another explainable scenario that allows everything we've seen to exist without using Tespia primarily for new Masterian content:

All GMS servers are patched with the new Masterian content this month, while Tespia is used to test bugs/glitches/PQs/anything BUT said content.

Logical support: (1) Nexon already said they dislike others experiencing version-exclusive content first, meaning they'd much sooner release the new content to all of us before a select group of testers. (2) August has historically been a big content month for GMS, ending the summer and transitioning into the fall/school year with some major addition that captures the interests of players to remain loyal during the coming months. (3) There have been many instances in the past where the calendar image for the month represented the content patched that month, not tested in GMST.

Like I said a few pages ago, predictions, not absolutes. Though one STRONG, close-to-absolute prediction we can make? GMS is getting new, never-before-seen content soon.

What about the point that the next patch is on the 17th/18th? That's when some events end. (DB mask event, specifically) Tespia could be started soon and be patched by the 17th. o.o Most GMST terms have lasted around 1-2 weeks anyway.

And they've been such spectacular successes that accomplished so much.

Because everyone knows the ideal test period is right up until the day of release with absolutely zero time to actually review or implement anything you found during the test period.
