They release huge content from other versions without a tespia, so what content that comes from other versions would require a tespia now? Except something so game changing as big bang?
I imagine it has to be something completely new to our version. Content that no other game has tested, so they opened a tespia for it.

Your logic has no foundation.
The last times we had tespia it was exclusively for crap from other versions. Ariant for example.
They specifically withheld Tespia access for all the CWK releases.

I didn't play back when the first tespias on GMS were here, thats probably why I didn't know.
I just can't see what other content we have left to get from KMS would require a tespia. They implement classes with no testing, so that rules out mechanic/battle mage/wild hunter. It's too early for big bang, so that's out.
I just don't understand what left there is to test. Maybe a NLC expansion?

No, it's still incredibly likely it's the Big Bang patch. This is Tespia after all, not official release content.
There's no telling just yet how long Tespia will last, and there's no telling just yet how long -after- Tespia it's going to take to see Big Bang -actually- implemented which is why it's highly likely Big Bang will be in Tespia. It's such a big update that they're actually taking the time to test it in Tespia. Makes sense, right?

Maybe it's just that they've taken a hint and are using Tespia so they don't have to deal with our peaching when everything goes to hell because they don't know how to play, let alone test, their own damn game.

Maybe all they're testing is the test system itself to find a way to make it a functional concept for when they do having something legitimate to test and everyone's deluding themselves into thinking there's something shiny and massive around the corner.

Because a port would need testing to work with the gms system?
and Knowing nexon a copy pasta of that level would just crash the system. so they are testing it. Like what else could they be testing? how the gravity would work if they modified it?
Also big bang can come. you are just pulling every excuse to why it cant come out. But we been right behind them in terms of content updates .

I wouldn't say it's out of the question for them to start preparing for big bang right now. Doing so doesn't necessarily mean we'll get it next month or even before October, but as we've all seen recently, the more they add the more problems pop up. Big Bang is a whole mess of content that has to mesh with all GMS exclusives; it's going to need extensive testing before release here. Isaac and I have been speculating that they intend to use this as a means to prepare masteria/world tour for the big bang, as they have to be massively scaled down, and that's not really something Nexon can test themselves.
There's a lot of problems with player input in such a case, though. "Masteria is fine the way it is we need a GOOD spot to train after the big bang!!! Why not give GMS players something special???"
That's my opinion of what's going on.
Even if it's not preperation for big bang, I am mostly convinced this is being brought up in response to the last three patches being massive failures in terms of errors and the game is beginning to implode.

All that I can say, is during the Q&A I had with people from Nexon, They mentioned features that would be a first in Maple, and would be from GMS. I cant specifically say what these features may be, as im still under contract to not specify them. That Q&A was something like a year and so ago? Its been ample time to get some of those created and inhouse tested.

SETTING: The Nexon Board room
Min Kim: This last patch didn't go so well.
Grunt #1: Yeah, lots of rollbacks that we had to do.
Grunt #2: If hackers weren't so prevalent, hopefully we wouldn't have this problem.
Kim: Well, it's a free game. The consequence of a free game and players with a lot of free time is hackers. That's inevitable.
Grunt #1: So, how can we prevent this from happening again?
Kim: Didn't we promise last year to release Tespia? How's that going?
Grunt #2: Still in the pipeworks. We've been too busy handling all of the errors after patches and taking care of new content. Not a whole lot of time for managing yet another server, bugs, and playerbase.
Kim: Well, we can't have constant rollbacks happening to real characters - that's how we lose money and players. Chances are we can save money by using Tespia. Plus, then we'll be fulfilling our promise that we made over fifteen months ago.
Grunt #1: But what about this Big Bang thing happening? We'll have to keep two separate codebases, and then we'll be revealing our quests and events. Things won't be a surprise anymore on patch night.
Kim: It's better that things not be a surprise than have any more rollbacks. Right now our playerbase believes that they shouldn't even play the game within 48 hours of a patch. Why, when they'll just get rollbacked and lose any progress?
Grunt #2: True.
Grunt #1: Yeah, yeah.
Kim: So, get Tespia going. End of meeting.

For some odd reason, that made me lol. Especially the 48 hour part.

I lol'd at the over fifteen momths. So true.
Anyways, just because they're opening Tespia now, it doesn't mean it's going be a huge update. Your logic is flawed. Hime said that Tespia has been in the works for a while now, and they might just have taken all this time to open it because they had to find a good system to make it work right and to prevent abuse like the last time. This time, I'm confident they'll finally fix the reported bugs (or at least most of them) and people who don't report bugs will be out. Organizing all this isn't as easy as it seems, even if it's REALLY hard for me to believe that they've been working on it FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS.
Since they've also released Tespia for really minor things in the past, I don't think they're releasing it NOW because they gotta test something really big. My hope is that they'll keep opening it for (almost) every patch, therefore we should expect it just for the Hob King PQ, too.
Another possibility, as someone else has already stated, is that they're preparing for the Big Bang update and they'll start progressively adding content of the Big Bang path to Tespia as they translate it (it'd take at least 2 months to translate EVERYTHING, for a NORMAL team of translators).
But again, just because they're opening Tespia, it doesn't mean it has to be something big. It might just be that they finally found a good method to make things work and decided to open it now.

In total honesty, I really do think it's NOT Masteria-related content.
When the NLC/CWK/Haunted House areas were released, there were no test patches because "players will be able to enjoy it at the same time".
If NEXON is still true to their word about that, then I do not think they'll open Tespia for it. Plus, they will give MAJOR spoilers to the Masteria plot.
If they do anything to Masteria, it may only be an experience change and some glitch-attempt fixes (coughBigFoot&WolfSpidercough)
The things that are possible in my opinion would be:
1. Big Bang's affects on things KMS does not have
2. World Tour/Ulu City
3. Neo TOKYO (lolwut?)
4. Evan/Dual Blade (Hob PQ) Skillbook drops
5. Brand New, Exclusive PQs (NON-NX!)
I will be utterly SHOCKED if there will be new areas for Masteria in there.
(Releasing things on the Dragon Ninja Clan though will be interesting to see as we just got Dual Blade. Wonder if NexonAM will pull a JMS on us.)

True, they've opened Tespia after closing it for more than two years, but I still have some doubts about Masteria.
I'm still of the opinion that their development of Masteria has stopped, for one reason or another, and they didn't want to disclose any information about that to not disappoint players.
If it wasn't, they'd have at least given us a spoiler or two about the next expansion, just like NxProse did.
Also, let's admit it, what would take so long to develop? A huge never-seen-before exclusive area with incredible stuff, new monsters, various PQs and a new exclusive job?
I might be pessimist, but I don't think so. Nexon Korea would release the remaining hero jobs in all this time. I know Nexon America is slow, but I doubt they're THIS slow.
Remember that they also said there were some quests left about Crimsonwood Keep Party Quest. If you think about it, without them it doesn't make much sense to see Jack magically inside the Keep and you magically being able to enter the keep while both you and Jack weren't able to do it before because of the "energy field", and had to find another way to enter.
Also, the doors inside actually seem to have a red energy field (the one Jack was talking about), but you can enter them without problems. To me, they released the CWK expansion unfinished, because that can't really be explained otherwise. When they released it, to me, and I think to the majority of the players, it gave a sense of "unfinished", and it still does after so much time, as they haven't released those quests they said they would have.
Therefore, theorically, Crimsonwood Keep isn't even finished, so I doubt they've been working on another Masteria expansion for all this time.

Maybe the timing of masteria expansion has nothing to do with development time, and everything to do with the amount of content possible for release.
I mean it'sAugust, last month of summer, 2 new jobs already released. What better time COULD there be :o
And besides, why would nexon not make it when they've been hinting at it for so long now.

Versal is probably one of the last areas of Masteria to come out, by the way. Krakia's the most likely to come out next.
