v.88 Update Notes

maple had a really bad time last week, with the rollback and stuff.

you know in the roman empire, there was this thing, give food to people and they will not complain?
Why i can see nexon doing it, they giving players free nx, and a lot of stuff, so they will just forget about what happened last week?

well i didnt complain too, because i lost nothing , but there are like millions of player complaining about it, and now nexon just do the best event for the past 5 years? everyone is smilling right now and dont even remember what happened last week lol.

Don't get me wrong, I love this patch, it sounds wonderful and horrible all at the same time. But if this doesn't lead to
the Big Bang sooner rather than later then I will be sorely dissapointed. I think we all had hope that the potential system
would come with big bang and not vanilla ms, which is incredibly gamebreaking in our normal game.

Anywho griping aside, I cannot fathom where I will use those resets at, all of my chars have perfect stats unless I hp wash. -_-

I'm actually VERY surprised Nexon managed to achieve it.

I have a long memory. I do not love Nexon, I dont think I ever will. I will only ever smile again when I get my Marksman unbanned.

To be fair, they deserve it. Comparing the Nexon we had back when those BBB/consumerist attacks were conducted with the Nexon of today, we have almost 2 opposite faces of a coin, well no, more like 2 adjacent faces of a rubik cube. They communicate, they promptly solve pressing issues (or fix issues at all!), and though they still quite suck, they're going at it fairly acceptably. Also, the fact that they're trying to win our favor in light of their failures is a plus in itself, I must say; 2x events, Maplepoints and presumably AP resets make up quite nicely for the efforts lost in 2 days' time. Whatever's not refundable is not refundable, not much can be done about it.

I personally think there is nothing wrong with kids buying NX as long as Nexon makes the service worthwhile to pay for.

I saw someone on Nexon's BB say they had purchased in the last day or so 2 -25k NX Cards in preparation for tomorrows DB patch...

Couldn't agree more here. Btw, fiel, when the patch is ready and you're able to extract the data... would anything there tell you if we're getting the droprate x10?

Oh hey! I know.. you'll be able to tell if they heavily drop the NPC prices of equips right? If you see that, then that means we're going to get the droprate boost :3

i know there's nothing wrong with kids buying NX, and all those events nexon is doing is a good sign, maybe in a near future, we will have a better game to play because nexon is actually caring about their customer

I just wich they take into account the breakable quest chain for the rings ... I have a ring mule sitting at level 50 with the hard earned level 50 quest expired that, most likely, wont see a ring since the rollback only affected me getting the ring, not the leveling

I can understand the free NX and everything else, but why free resets? Honestly, most of us have no use for them. I guess people have the option of washing their characters now. *shrugs*

I hadn't realized this, but you're right - it is a good sign that they're acknowledging a bad situation and trying to compensate for it, whether its their fault directly that it happened or not. I, for one, think that all of this is too much compensation, but I guess I wasn't one of the people who was so adversely affected.

Not going to lie, this patch makes me extremely excited to play Maple. With all the events in combination with a new class and the new game-breaking item enhancement stuff, I'm totally excited.
