the times for me are between 4pm-10pm or 2pm-2am, but idk what will i do, maybe hunt for PoT with 4x to make some money.

Or if they during work and other planned events -- they should have 24h 2x during the days the rollback actually occurred

My problem with the situation is Nexon fixed an exploit and didn't take the extra step to look into how the same exploit could be abused again.
It was the same pineappleing exploit taken to a different npc. It's not pineappleing rocket science. I don't put the blame on Nexon for the first exploit, the second one was just laziness on their part and then handled very poorly once they found it was being abused.

Also, lol@himes response. Apparently they have no control over their own game. It is possible, make an emergency patch, you've done it before.

It also SAYS in the transaction log that they gave my 7.5k, but they didn't, or rather there's an inexplicable 5.7k charge that eliminated almost all of it.

I want to start by saying that I'm not back, I just wanted to comment on the current issue.

This was a pomegranatety situation for everyone. A lot of innocent people were negatively effected not only by this current round of meso-glitching, but the previous one. Nexon kept to themselves during the last one and a lot of honest people lost items and money while also losing a lot of their freedoms due to the so-called "Hell Ban."

Nexon could have done that again this time, but the effect would have been much larger. People would have straight-up lost a lot of things completely -- it would have been just as devastating to the economy as leaving the hack in place. Nexon responded as proportionately as possible, and I for one commend them on that. Yes, a lot of people got screwed and lost a lot of time and in some cases, rare rings. I have been away since Friday, so I wasn't affected, but I know how upsetting it is to lose hard work (re: monster book July 2009.) Everyone who's freaking out has that right, because you got involved in something you shouldn't have been. But as an over-all, this was the best possible solution for the game. At this point I don't think it's out of the question for Nexon to have the event again during the next patch, if only for a week.

Furthermore, Nexon's response deserves to be applauded to some extent. I disagree with reintroducing cash events; I think it's deplorabe to attempt to profit from a massive mistake like this. However, the sheer number of events that they've extended or added -- 42 hours of both 2x exp and drop -- is, for once, a good thing. Previously they would ignore everything and then give the players a 2x exp weekend... 4 hours, in which a lot of people would feel obligated to take full advantage of by buying cards. The number of hours given as compensation sincerely relieves that obligation. Of course, this doesn't give players back what they lost; especially ring mules, but it's something.

Lastly, the came straight out and said what was happening. When was the last time we saw such honesty from Nexon? They kept the players updated throughout the day. It's a big step in the right direction in terms of accountability, and while it doesn't make up for their MANY past failures, it's important that we recognise what they do right when they do it, so that they are not discouraged and go back to reacting like a child who broke mommy's favourite vase -- blaming it on the dog.

Things could be better, but they could be so much worse, also. Please wait until the patch date before raging about rings; Nexon may surprise you. If not, then go nuts.

Yes I will give Nexon a week for a possible extension. At the moment people, including me, can't help but rage at the rollback though because in the majority of the players lost something that can never be gained again. It's like getting an Arceus from a Nintendo event only to backfire in your face and mysteriously vanishes from your game.

Sorry that is not something we can do on our side. Unfortunately, as much as we wanted to extend the event (and we definitely considered it) it was not possible.

I predict that they will bring back the event, unchanged except for end date.
Which just might force everybody to make new characters for rings, because the existing mules had their "level xx challenge" quests disappear. And as we know, if you fail to accept or complete one of those on time, no ring for you.

Personally I'm not going to log on my level 47 ring mule until the patch, but I doubt that would save me if Nexon does in fact screw it up this particular way.

The problem with the ring event is, due to the way the event works, they will either have to go back and check which characters had the quest active when they started the server check, or everyone will have to remake ring mules from scratch to get rings again. This isn't terrible for those of us who have the funds, experience, and time to get to 50 in a day. But it frankly sucks for a lot of my slow-leveling friends who worked their tails off just to get one or two mules done, and finished them during the rollbacked time.

Plus, there are people who were doing the 30 levels version who weren't done yet, and Nexon would have to know what level the character was when they began the quest, which I'm pretty sure has not been saved.

They should never have let the quests expire in the first place. No matter what -Hime- says, an emergency patch should've been both reasonable and possible in a circumstance like this.

I lost level 179, my bishop's tub chair, the best drops my group has ever had on a boss run (which was darn challenging to take down; we were very short-handed), level 70 and the job advance on an alt (at least I didn't stay up late doing the mount quest?), two ring mules that had already hit 50, and more than 10 levels on a ring mule I was planning to finish during the last day of my 7-11 PM EST 2x card. Oh, and I can't train tonight on that card, even if they extend it, because I have plans. This is what I get when I finally start training again.

Oh, and now I have to buy golden tickets if I want a Ravana helm, because I can't get in to get sunbursts for free anymore.

I also want to address this, as it is not a burial for ring compensation. Everyone knows Hime is next-to-incompetent with words; what she meant is that it's not something they can do via server maintenance. A patch is a necessity for such an extension. Issuing a patch last night would have just caused more confusion and anger when the less explorative players logged on this morning excited to create a dual blader after the patch and not being able to do so. They would have been flooded with a ridiculous amount of unnecessary tickets and threads. Yes, something of the same magnitude is happening right now in regards to the rings, but that would have happened anyway with those who had worked hard over the last three days demanding a free ring, unwilling to repeat the grind.

This will give them time to assess how to best deal with the issue, and hopefully they will do just that.

So, I don't really think anyone ever responded about having trouble logging in. I left for an hour and got lunch thinking that eventually my "this ID is already logged in or the server is getting checked or whatever" nonsense would dissipate. But I'm back now and have tried twice so far to log in, both times getting that same message, but now I'm missing out on the compensation for all the trouble I haven't even been logged in long enough to take stock of. :l
