And yes, Maple Points are per account. It's impossible to give Maple Points per character, they act just like regular NX, save for the buying/gifting limitations.

Yeah, my pally went up 76 ranks overall, 8 ranks in world. rather interesting really.
I'm really stoked for the massive x2 events starting tomorrow, just sucks that my WoW raids clashes with 3 of those times. 180+ here I come

ah well that sucks. i only really needed like an hour of 2x to get to level 50 =( But i think they'll just meld the 2 SCs together.

First off, XD @ everyone checking their own ranks. The stupid thing with Nexon is that when they say they've perma-banned people, those "perma-bans" often find a way of reversing themselves, ie. rank changes are usually NEVER permanent. So enjoy your increased ranks for now (I shot up 6 ranks overall to 414), but chances are such changes won't last.

Secondly, does it say anywhere that EVERY MAPLESTORY ACCOUNT will be credited 5k Maple Points? Because the way I read it was that there will be "events Maplers can participate in," one of which has a reward of 5k Maple Points. That sounds more like the current Explorer Box event than anything else, ie. only a select few lucky people get the 5k Maple Points. However, if this applies to everyone, then sweet. Time to super level the Aran (can you gift with Maple Points, hopefully?).

Thirdly, hot damn @ 42 hours of 2x EXP/Drop over the next 5 days. Assuming their maintenance is done in time for tomorrow's event, that is. This might just be the time to buy NX for 2x cards .

Nexon isn't covering up anything 0.o
They've OPENLY acknowledged that there was a meso exploit/hack. They've taken the most logical course of action is dealing with these things. In an attempt to make ammends to the players they'll be holding 2x events. It's more than they need to do. They could quite simply just roll EVERYTHING back a few days and give these compensations... but instead they're taking the time to try to do things properly.

They DEFINITELY need to work on improving fixing other issues of course such as DC hacks and HT holding and the sort... but in regards to this specific event, nexon's taken quite a proper action.
