Gen 5 pogeys all looks like derps

What do you guys think of the new gen pogeys? In my opinion, Pokemon designs went downhill after Gen 2. I mean come on, have you seen this crap?



Come on, this doesn't even LOOK like a Pokemon! It's a rat with nothing special about its design. DID THEY EVEN TRY!?

And come on, be serious. Legendary birds? Ohhhh, wow. At least the legendaries we had back in the day were threatening. Ancient Golems, FUCKING DINOSAUR AND PREHISTORIC SEA MONSTER. We had the freaking RULERS OF TIME AND SPACE in gen 1. What the hell does gen 5 have? Are any of the gen 5 legendaries even known for anything in particular? What exactly do the legends say about them? The only one in Gen 5 with a legend is that pink blob thing, Mew, who's supposed to be the ancestor of all Pokemon.

I've heard this before. "What if 4th gen was the first gen? Then you'd be complaining how Ekans is just a snake and Meowth is just a cat." Pretty interesting to think about.

I liked Suicune. Every other pokemon sucked, in my opinion. I quit doing anything Pokemon games after... Silver? I don't remember. lol

Oh, you're talking about Ho-Oh and Lugia from Gen 3? Gen 3 was pretty shit, but they completely ran out of ideas in this Gen. I mean come on, half of the Pokemon just look like normal animals that anyone can see straddling along in the wild.

See this guy? He looks unique. He doesn't look like an average everyday animal, but you can still tell that he's modeled after a jackal. BUT THEY MADE HIS DESIGN INTERESTING.

This is nice and all, but following your ordering logic this would be Gen 4, not 5.

I kind of find it interesting how the creators take a play on real world animals and exaggerate them.
If you're saying that Pokemons after Gen2 are awful, then you're contridicting yourself. Those are all Gen1.
So if you're trying to support your claim that all pogeys are derps past Gen 2... er.. well you really aren't supporting yourself.

Unless you have your gens mixed up.
If you're calling Palika and Diagla gen 1, those are actually gen 4.

See, that's all I remember. LOL

Generation one being 1 ~ 151 or whatever. #24 being Pikachu, #25 being Raichu... I used to know all 151, but that was when I was 8 years-old. That was almost 12 years ago. :X I remember all of the first "Legendary Pokemon" being the lighting, ice and fire birds (I don't remember any of the names except Articuno now) and then there being Mew and Mewtwo in the lore. After that, there was 152 ~ whatever with some other legendary pokemon (Suicune, Entei, Raikun, Lugia and Ho-Oh, I think?). After that, I have no idea... That's where I stopped with Pokemon. LOL
