Portals in blue are 1-way only; going back through the portal you came from will take you somewhere else, so beware.

Gate portals require you to have a Map of Phantom Forest (obtained from the level 70 quest Lost in Translation). To my knowledge, none of them are actually 2-way, though the pair in Dead Man's Gorge and Haunted Hill are in the same map as, and accessible from, each others' destinations.

this might not work, ive noticed that sometimes when you enter one portal and reenter it, you can be in a different part of the area, or another area all together. But this is only from certain portals.

Top Left - Bent Tree (D)
Bottom Right - Dead Man's Gorge (D)
Far Right - Twisted Path 5 (E)
Before Far Left - Twisted Path 5 (B)
Top Left - Crossroad 3 (A)
Top Left - Forgotten Path (A)

Oh, and if anyone knows which portals lead to the upper areas of the Crossroads or Bent Tree, do tell. There seem to be no other way to get there.

About the Swamp Bog -> Dead Man's Gorge route, I have an easier solution. Bent Tree is the first map to the right of the Mansion. Why don't you go that way, and avoid the extra steps?

Also, from Swamp Bog -> Creeping Evil, you can also use Bent Tree. Far right portal on Bent Tree, voilla, you're on Haunted Hill.

Can you make a route from Swamp Bog or Bent Tree to Phantom Road? A route to Lukan would make things easier for questing.

After fulfilling a certain quest requirement we are able to use different portals to get to where we want to go. I've forgotten which route I took but, it went much faster than any of the routes we had to take for the mazes. It actually skipped all the mazes. The routes are direct, so it won't fly all over the place. One of them actually sent me to the top of the forgotten path. I can leave some posts here about my findings if any needs.

edit: it requires the map of phantom forest item

edit2: ok i've laid out a route for it now and I only go completely east into the swamp into the hidden area (not the trees) and then go east again just few steps away and I make it to the top of the forgotten path instantly. It's basically like cutting the time you need to use by 1/2 or so.

Tested every portal ingame, drew a map of where they go. I tried to untangle it as much as possible but it's still not ideal :/ It is far better than my original though.

If you want to explore yourself, better not to look at it.

When I get the new portals I will add those, right now I can't use them.


It should be pretty clear that the route to the Valley is the shortest one, there's only one way to get to Twisted Path (5).

Nice mapping there =P Could provide a useful reference in the future.
At least I memorised my way from prendergast mansion to Valley of Heroes =P

Decided to mark in the "real" destination shortest paths for reference.

I don't like walking across the Swamp so I've done all these through the Bent Tree.

 Paths to all major maps.

Orange -> Forgotten Forest (bottom)
Green -> Forgotten Forest (top)
Blue -> Phantom Road (a)
Pink -> Phantom Road (b) - not useful unless you want to enter Phantom Road on the left, it's longer.
Yellow -> Haunted Hill

so we haven't found a way to access the top of Bent Tree yet?

For your map you forgot Creeping Evil, but that's not that important.
