So I'm looking for a place to permanently keep my files (movies, installation programs, other big stuff, etc). Since I use a desktop at home and a laptop when I'm not home, I'd need some way to move these files back and forth so I'd need something portable. And because the drive will be accessed fairly constantly, I'd need something that isn't "prone" to file/data/drive corruption.
So what I've considered so far are:
SSD drives are pretty expensive so it's more of a last resort thing. That leaves deciding between an external HD and two 64gb flash drives. So my question is: between flash drives and hard drives, which is more resistant to corruption?
I've done some research between the two but unfortunately, nearly all reviews between flash drives vs hard drives focuses on performance and speed. Nothing mention corruption. (Of course I'm aware proper maintenance decreases chances of corruption but still).

- Solid state drives/SSD Drives
- External hard drive
- Flash drive (64gb) x2
