Lets talk, merchants!

So, I've been around for quite some time ( nearley all of GMS's lifespan ) and I spent most that time merchanting in broa, I've seen alot of guilds come and go and alot of drama in the FM.
infact I'd say thats where most of the drama of MS happens. and theres always been one group in particular thats always gotten on the nerves of anyone who is a legit merchant, that is. someone who dosn't scam people,hack or in a guild that does these things therefore benifitting from those things.
hackers, I'm not talking about certain people ( won't mention names because I dunno if thats against the rules and its really un important to the subject at hand ) who dupe items. I'm talking about organized Merchant guilds who just decide to take over a certain FM room for good.
they dc hack or bott anyones spot in "they're room" now as a .. what you'd call "smart ass" I kept merchanting but purposly taking they're "room" be it room 1 or be it room 3 ( they never really go past there ), I'll go head to head with them and since they have what they perceive as a monopoly they always over price their items. so I put items at their actual price and people would buy from my shop and not theres.

for that I've gotten alot of hate in FM and have had them bott my spots even when I open in room 18 ( just fond of that room ). my brother who is dsylexic got a horrible reputation thanks to them but IF I ever log onto our chars "llOsiris" or "Howrudoing" and set up shop ( don't use them since they got hacked )
It'll take me at most an hour to get dc hacked by them, even since I quit merchanting. but now my friends are starting to get their shops botted and dc hacked for talking smack about these guilds, now when my friends log into fm they just get dced, so If your in broa and you know what guilds I'm talking about, do you think theres anything we can do? or should do? for the rest, the question is the folowing

these "merchants" are usualy immature brats but they effect the game severly, they cause pointless inflation and tend to never train ( leeching isn't training ) just sit around and ammass a fortune, ruin people day to day mechanting and yet they've been doing this for years.

Do you think nexon should do anything about it? .. Keep in mind, 95% of them don't buy NX they MTS it.

Eh, I have the same problem with a certain pimento in Bera server who "owns" channel 2 FM 1. Nexon SHOULD do something about it. First patch DC hacks, second send the mules to town if they're under someone's spot for a certain period (10 minutes is enough to look through a shop for shoppers).

I also say for now, fuck FM merchanting and MTS merchant. It's better than FM merchanting IMO. You don't have to deal with no life brat level 200 f/ps who has like 10 mules & owns Ch 2 FM 1 in Bera. I mean you don't need a spot in general*

I think that If you're with your shop permit wtih the text inputted to open a shop, you know when you open shop you gotta put a title then press ok, in that screen, if your with that open for more then 5 min , warp to FME. theres NO point of having it be like that for more then 5 min really, It would destroy alot of botters, yet instead what they did is if your setting up shop, in the screen where you put items in, if you have that open for more then 15 or so min, you get sent back to FME.

p.s to clarify, I have nothing against merchants,that'd be hypocritical of me seeing as I merched for years. what I do have somthing against is hackers who think that they can own FM and that they're merchants when infact they're script kiddies who have to wait for an update when they see a server check.

MTS to Meso conversion is extremely easy. I know some items where you can get 11m/1k + and sell fast. I make better raw profit using MTS. Plus in FM you run out of deals since you're limited to your own server. In MTS people sell their things from all servers AND yellonde/demethos just opened up in MTS.

that's all they are. they're all nothing now with the mushie blacklist and bot preventer unless they have their dc hack. and you can even get by that by just buying a mush on a seperate mule, one that you dont play/look in fm on.

what you say is true, I Don't mean to brag but , MTSing made merchanting become somthing moderatly complicated to somthing REALLY easy, I had 2.1mill NX when I got hacked . these " merchanting lol " guilds are usualy comprised of teenagers and preeteens who can't get there mummy and daddys credit cards to get NX, so yeah they almost all MTS.

the click idea is nice, but regarding the seperate mule. I won't d that, ever, I'm gonna go head to head with them forever, I proved a point to a certain no.1 merchant in broa 2 years ago *cough G.I.R.L who wore a blue ms in ch1 fm 1 for ages * that without hacks, without a huge guild, I make more mesos per month then he ever will.

I still think you should make a new mule. I mean I GUARD my mule's identity. Not many people know it . I used to make the mistake of merchanting on my main so yeah I got hated by this noob in ch 2 fm 1.

Levels 1-16 will take you about 2 hours at most. Lol?

@ Goals, Its not that I can't merch on a seperate char, its a sort of moral thing ... or maybe an Ego thing , not too sure, its just like .. I hate what they're doing so, I'm not going to go around them to merchant, I'll be in there face and write in my shops title they can eat pomegranate for all I care. I'm better than them therefore They gotta learn to deal with me, I quit ms 2 years ago or so after gettiing hacked, but now that I'm back at first I didn't want to enter fm because I loathe merchanting, but now that my friends are getting pushed around by these guys I'm gonna retake my throne as it were. ... yes you might think I'm takin this seriously but I'm just doing it " for the lulz " , MS is just on when I write/study/draw/ do other things. really all merchantig is is "*beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*

Yeah I know what you mean but I gave in and made a mule anyway.

I use a mule for a simple reason... more storage space. Anything I'm selling gets tossed on the mule, stuff I'm using I keep around, most of my money stays on that account, it's not like I lose money training so I don't run out often.


Easier to transfer items out of the store if it's a separate account anyway, just log on near the store, close it for a minute, trade items, open the store again. I don't use mushroom shops because I'm morally opposed to spending that much NX a month. I guess it's less relevant when you are willing to steal money from noobs, but I earn everything myself and paying an extra 200mil a month would put a dent in my profits.

How many people seriously shop in channel 1 FM 1 anyways (non-deserted servers)? I completely skip over it along with FM 2 every time I check the FM.

Once I got threatened to be DCed in like Ch 1 FM 2 just because I happened to be nearby a person who was reopening and I snagged the spot. I would have given it back if the person asked nicely but he just cussed at me. Of course I wish that was an empty threat. Luckily I knew a friend of the guy.

I think you should tag your shop with the guild's name as long as they're not a complete douchebag like someone I know who "owns" ch 2 fm 1. They're letting you keep the spot so just give in. People are really possessive. ALTHOUGH, nexon needs to fix the fm issues. =\

I'd say a lot of people browse Fm1 in crowded servers. In that room, you can get away with selling items for more than they're actually worth. That might be why Fm1 is so coveted.

At above, you're lucky you get warnings. People here won't hesitate to disconnect you from the game for Fm1 spots. Normally it's the same group of people that get Fm1.
