Well, I went from middle school straight to community college, never heard of him. Took my senior year at a high school, still didnt hear of him. We read James Joyce's A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Mary Shelly's (sic) Frankenstein, Shakespeare's Hamlet and Othello, as well as Love In the Time of Cholera, who ever did that book. This last semester though, I was supposed to read Antigone for my English writing class, but the teacher had issues with time management when it came to the workload for the class.
