Warning: Gach box at your own risk.
#21
You can't get them to change this. Gachapon is gambling, and it's well known that when you gach it's at your own risk. It's exactly the same as going into a casino. You can't start crying when you lose all of your money.

At a casino, all the information is made available to you for the various games, whether it's the rules of the game, the odds of an outcome, or the potential to gain or lose. But Nexon can change all of these components at will and does not disclose all the information.

When they say level 100-110 gear, and out craps a bunch of level 70-90 stuff I think you can complain Tongue

This, I'm not crying over losing my money, I'm crying over the fact that if I had known the odds would've been bad I wouldn't have done it.
But then again, if Nexon disclosed that information, no one would do it Rolleyes Unless, ya know, they changed it.

Nexon has always been notoriously bad for poor disclosure of information. That's why this site exists to begin with. I think it's a common phrase in the stock market that "Past performance does not dictate future success".

Not all of the odds will always be disclosed to you in life. You can't expect it in a video game if the publisher does not divulge them. We are lucky enough to have Southperry to help us with that.

And a casino does not divulge all odds. If they did, I'd like to know what my odds are of winning with any given hand when the dealer has an Ace up in blackjack. Or how about my odds at winning the jackpot in Flamin' 7's? Yeah, not happening. If you think about it, a casino is always a profit-seeking entity. Someone had to pay for all of the flashy lights in Vegas. I doubt those lights are there out of charity. They have no motive to give out information on the odds of your winning, and I think if they did they would cease to be a business in operation after a time.

It's a closed system, Bayesian logic does give you those odds. You know exactly how many cards there are (52), which ones will beat your hand, which ones you can draw that would make you win, and so forth. It is relatively difficult, but there are people who know those odds. With the Gold Boxes, you have no idea how many items there are, or how likely they are to come out. A lot less certainty there.

See? A reasonable person can deduce that this is a risky game to play. People played the game and lost. I don't see an issue here.

Crap I'm laughing from when we argued about the box thing. LOL, NEXON NOT SELF SERVING. 9/10 of us are getting sh'it Sara, this was us getting scammed, which something like this bull stands far from a damn casino, no less they probably get tons from this.
Similarities: Gambling game.
Differences: Literally everything else including some pieces of R/L gambling.

You gamble on Nexon giving away good items cheap, and you lose. Better luck next time.

Gonna get infracted for flaming (1 point please don't ban me it's christmas Sad) BUT GOD YOU'RE DUMB.

I said not entirely self-serving. People are still making god damn money off the god damn boxes. What part of PLAYERS BENEFIT FROM SELLING BOXES don't you get? Of course Nexon makes money off people OPENING the boxes, but THEY DO. NOT. NEED. TO. MAKE. BOXES. DROP. which would be NO MONEY FOR BOX SELLERS. They could just as easily make the boxes a cash shop item and eliminate the middleman. Get it through your head.

also my name is saraH not sara.

 Spoiler

I wanna say i think lvl 70 stuff coming out of the gold boxes that were advertised to give 100 - 110 stuff is completely eligible for complaining. They even specify gold is lvl 100 - 110 while silver is 50 - 69, and they even go to say gold boxes are for higher leveled players while lower levels may want to invest in silver boxes.

Ok Sarah, and woohoo infraction for me. I'm probably going to, but then again I might not.
And at one point if it's going to be a big fail(boxes) and only idiots will buy them.
And really, "get if through your head"? Your not getting what I'm saying.
The feeling is mutual.
Btw Christmas EVE is tommorow.

But the point is I don't care what Nexon gets out of the event. I've already said I hate gach box events because of the low odds and it's a massive rip off. It was the first thing that I said in the other topic. But disregarding what a massive waste of time and NX it is, it's not as awful as it could be and doesn't just benefit Nexon and NX users like it could. It's an event that people without NX can still make some mesos from by selling boxes.

...I didn't say it was christmas eve/day. It's christmas TIME.

Ugh, I'm not in the mood for this...SARAH IS RIGHT I AM WRONG.
Happy? ..

I've never liked Gacha boxes (except to resell for mesos). I've always known the odds of it are usually just crap. Therefore, I don't do it. Everyone who complains about this is just childish; it is like gambling, as Sarah has said. Gambling is usually pretty unfair, too.

When new items are added to Gachapon, they don't always tell you EVERYTHING that's added. Plus, if you find something that they haven't told us about you don't get all butthurt over that do you?

So.. they added in new items and it seems they kept in the old stuff. So? Simple, just don't participate in the NX part of this event, sell some boxes or take advantage of falling prices (of items that are in the boxes).
