All game servers will be undergoing an unscheduled server maintenance tonight, Sunday, December 20th at 12:00AM Pacific (3:00AM Eastern) to 4:00AM Pacfic (7:00AM Eastern).



The game will be unavailable during this time, but all services should be back online once the maintenance is complete. Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

No, it implies it was unscheduled. They had no intentions previously of having maintenance tonight, therefore it was not scheduled, therefore this is unscheduled.

12:00AM to 4:00AM PST is usually when I go on and place, since it's not as crowded.

Isn't that kinda' what they're doing? I mean, what you said would be appropriate if they weren't doing a damn thing about any problems regarding the game... but they are. They're doing basically everything they can to make things better.

Having to fix a bug on a daily basis is trying to get their pomegranate together... but it's still scattered across the room.

Yeah it would be great if things just magically fixed themselves.

That's not how things work. Nexon is doing what they can without inconveniencing American players too much.

Get over it. I would rather have nightly SC's for the rest of Maple's existence than awful fucking lag during 2x or whatever else may go wrong.

I don't have a problem with the recent constant downtime which promisingly is going to fix the countless acknowledged problems (Tiger Pets, Vega Scrolls) which in turn will enhance everyone's gameplay.., oh wait, NX-exclusive rights, my bad.

Although he was arguing just for the sake of arguing, Hazzy had a point where "getting their pomegranate together" means getting some things right. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and this is totally not implying that Nexon has any good intentions.

For the first time ever Nexon clearly has good intentions. I don't know why you would think otherwise. This maintenance isn't about NX items, it's about all of the hardware issues and unbearable lag we've been suffering through.

And as for people outside of America playing, the only ones I feel for would be Australians/New Zealand players. Europe has their own version that they could play if they're unhappy with the way GMS is run. But the fact is that these SC's are like 2 hours AT WORST. That's hardly something to complain about.

Do not agree with the "you have your own version so get over it" thing. I'm sure if Canada was given their own version and then repeatedly screwed over by GMS, you wouldn't be too happy about being told to get over it and start again in your own version. Not after all your 16x levels and your monster book hunting.

Even Nexon America understands that for those with a localized version of Maple, it still is justifiable for them to remain in gMS for various reasons, why don't you? We hardly play the game for what it is anymore, another version is nothing similar to what we do daily on gMS.

I do give Nexon America the credits they deserve for trying to fix the problems. They don't, however, deserve the credits for actually fixing something, yet, which is what needed to be made clear, seeing as whiners proved to be quite a bit critical about it.

My playing times range from starting around 1-5 PM to 1-3 AM, PST

Oh, I read the "(3:00AM Eastern) to 4:00AM" when I referenced it. My bad. Still, 3 - 4 hours of downtime isn't bad when the alternative is lag so bad it's not worth playing at all.

Screwed over? It's a SERVER CHECK. People over in Europe know that if they're playing a Western game they're going to have to deal with down times that are inconvenient for them. The alternative isn't "go play your own version," it's "suck it up." It could be worse, they're not being forced out of GMS.

I do tolerate the same down times, because I play at 3:00 when there's nothing else to do and I don't sleep. It's not like they're being malicious and doing this just to piss off Europeans

Now now, don't get carried away, nobody is having a problem with downtime during your playtime (I just lied.) The "out of service area playing" issues is about you claiming that it is totally awesome to have nightly downtime to enhance your gameplay and give us outsiders the middle finger.
